just an idea

I want to start my own little home business which can hopefully become something big.

Just a question: How hard do you think it would be to start a magazine and end up one day getting it on the shelves in top stores? Also make a website for the magazine so people can subscribe and maybe get the magazine over email.

Obviously it would have to be a great and interesting magazine lol. But how hard do you think it would be to achieve this? And where would you start? Like trying to get local shops in your town to sell it and stuff?

cheers.

My suggestions would be to find a certain niche and research it thoroughly to make sure the market is there. The rest is going to be dependent on advertising sales. I'd make a mock-up copy of what you are envisioning the magazine to be so that you can show potential advertisers. Also, in order to have the largest circulation possible for a start-up magazine, you will want to offer it for free initially to build up readership. Goodluck with your idea!
