I am trying to hire a graphics guy for my site and as soon as I give them an NDA to sign, they get nervous and pullout. Why is that and what can I do to gain more trust?

im thinking that it is because the graphics guys that you are talking to arent lawyers and businessmen. the site of an NDA probably makes them think something along the lines of "wow..this is like an actual business...im not sure i understand this...i dont really want to be involved in something i dont understand...what if i get in legal or financial trouble?" my thoughts on it...dont push the NDA. try to do it by just keeping them on a need to know basis. pure graphics guys arent entrepreneurs and because of the effort it takes to execute an idea i wouldnt be overly worried about them running off and trying to do it on their own.

It might be worth explaining to them what a NDA is and mayb advise them that it might be a good idea that they actually make one for themselves to.

Thanks for the tips. I have tried explaining that it is a standard document that just protects me from you discussing my idea with a third party. Also the NDA is a must, even if it is just a graphics guy. Next I will try convincing him that getting one for himself is a good idea. I can view his graphics but if the deal doesn't go through, etc, etc...
