Help Please

I have a question about a thread i started earlier in the general business section. I want to start an auto brokerage business. I want to get paid by the car dealers for reffering people to them and i want to get paid by clients by helping them save money on their cars. I would like to know what all i need to do to make my company legal. And who do i need to call to make sure auto brokerage in my state is legal? I would love any help you guys have.

My business will not need any investors or loans or any money from outside sources. Do i still need to write a business plan? I know i should, but would anybody want to see it except for my partner in business.

It would be a good idea to write a business plan so you chart what your business is about and what you want to achieve, where you are going etc. If you do not require external funding you would not generally need to show your business plan to anyone else.

with this business, in 12 months time you're most likely to end up doing something completely different to an auto brokerage - so you don't need a business plan - because it has no purpose.

your only purpose right now is to use this venture to make enough contacts so you can start your next venture

everything else is legal advice and you know how that goes

other than that, based on the fact that there is sooooo much choice, and cars being substantial investments for most people, which are very difficult to choose and understand - I think you have a goer

anyone like me would be scared NOT to use your service because it can mean everything from buying a lemon to financial ruin

but you're probably not ready to execute this venture the way it's supposed executed (yes, this is supposed to upset you)

good luck. do us proud
