Does anyone recommend any publications (sites, newspapers, magazines, etc.) where I can look through businesses for sale by location or by industry?

but...again...the whole point of private equity is to take advantage of proprietary information

this means that, by definition, if you're gonna be buying direct property it's gonna be unlisted in sites, newspapers, magazines, etc.

Thank you for the help Daniel. Unfortunately there aren't any listings under my county, Dutchess County, but I'll keep look for other sites.

And Xanifur, do you understand the difference between recommending something and finding something? I asked if anyone had any personal references. I am plenty capable of googling things I need, but before I spend $75 on a magazine subscription, I'd like to know what people think. The world needs less smartasses.
