great businesses are built around a compelling problem definition. your opportunity does not have a problem definition, and therefore you don't have an opportunity. on the contrary, you are solution looking for a problem, and that's not a good thing.

in terms of ignoring trends, you'll also find that venture success is dependent on aligning your company to capitalize on emerging industry trends. if what you're doing not fit with a trend, you will find your self experiencing failure.

change your opportunity selection and redefine the problem that you want your venture to be solving.
