    Ylisting.com -

    I. Executive Summary
    Business
Ylisting.com is in the business of supplying information and advertising space to search engines on the World Wide Web. The company will be one of the largest sources of business information on the Web, functioning as a search site and providing search engines with access to particularly relevant information while enabling the search engines to insert advertising in the sites. Ad insertion will generate revenue for both the search engine and the company.
The company has used its Ylunch.com business over the last four years to develop a business model for a search portal that is brand and product agnostic; that is we do not care whether Ylisting is a brand name or what is advertised on its pages. We are a vehicle for Google and others to insert ads in pages relevant to a specific search.

The software program is compatible with Google's Ad-Sense code. Through Ad-Sense Google sub-contracts a portion of its information development activities to Ylisting and similar businesses that enable Google to insert ads into search relevant pages. Google pays approximately 25 % of its ad revenue to entities such as Ylisting annually to utilize the search listings.

The company has developed proprietary software that converts business data to a search compatible format that can be integrated into Google's Ad Sense software. The company has recently completed the conversion, one Ylisting for every business in America. There are currently 14 million operational businesses in the United States. Ylisting.com will provide internet searches with relevant information (including the name, location, and means of contacting a business) while prompting them with targeted advertising messages positioned by Google Inc. on each respective Ylisting page.

This Business Plan focuses on the internet search market and in particular on Google, as it is dominant in the market place. We are particularly sensitive to the nature of its search software and its Ad Sense, ad insertion strategy. .

Now that US business data has been converted, business data from other countries will be converted. The company's conversion software enables conversion to be done over a period of a few months at most depending on the number of hours our software personnel can dedicate to the activity. Google derives approximately 50% of its revenue from non-US advertising.

Monetization: In general, Google pays the company when a user goes to Google, Yahoo, Ask.com et.al., types in a query, searches for a business, pulls up a Ylisting page and clicks on an ad. In a search, Google produces a list of results for the user to consider. Ylisting.com will be one of the sites listed as a result of the search and will enable the user to click and migrate to the Ylisting.com site directly. Google Inc. has two primary reasons to give Ylisting.com preferential selection/ranking with respect to the original query---search relevance and the ability of Google to use the company's page to insert its ads.

The company will generate additional revenue by making available page modification tools for business owners to customize their own web pages for a monthly subscription fee. Moreover, Ylisting has the option of positioning advertising from sites like MSN.com, Ask.com, Yahoo.com.on its pages for a fee. Finally, as searches on hand-held devices are becoming more common, the company will convert its listings to software compatible with hand-helds.

    Competitive Advantages:

    A. First to Market with search-relevant information on14 Million US businesses.

    B. Proprietary software designed to build and optimize Ylisting.com from raw business data

    C. 250 Registered Domains-enables the recycling of visitors to and from Ylisting pages and further segmentation of searches. The more "eyeballs", the more money.

    D. Strong existing position with Google (Ylunch.com)-Google and others are continually enhancing their search capabilities. Ylisting is very familiar with the patterns of "bots" as they roam through the billions of pages of information.

    E. A management team experienced with Google and its code interfaces.

    F. 97% profit margin-little overhead or operating costs

    G. 3.5 years of data

    H. Integrating 9 years of Google code into one site

    I. 14 Million listings up by January 2008

    J. Implementation of conversion of international business data by countries in 2008 and 2009.

    K. Modest capital requirements-computing capacity and a small software/management team

    L. No expenses for branding the Ylisting.com and its other portals

    M. Flexible formatting of pages to maximize advertising

To accelerate its activities, the company is raising capital not to exceed $1 Million to cover salaries of a small staff to facilitate the conversion of data, enable search compatible data to be used on hand-helds, enable businesses to alter information on their listings and add computing power.

    * Elegant, simple, unique business model
    * Automated expansion through Google Ad Sense and ad insertions
    * No branding cost-i.e. no marketing or sales costs
    * Largest data base of search relevant info or businesses results in monetization of listings through ads

you are so going to get sued by yahoo. you should really think about changing your logo if not the name altogether. I'm not trying to be a downer here but I'm pretty sure that anyone who looks would agree the similarities are a bit too close for comfort.
It's not easy - life - is not easy. If it were, everyone would be doing it.

yah i remember these kinds of index spamming plays

zoominfo has been having an awesome run doing this stuff for individuals, but i'm not sure it'll work for business info. merchantcircle.com has spent like 10mill trying to do this stuff over the last 2 years..but it doesn't seem like their product is a smash hit
