WorkoutBOX - Calling all fitness guru's...

    Hi YE,

I’ve recently launched WorkoutBOX - a brand new fitness website providing accessible workouts and exercises for the masses. I’d love some feedback on the site, what do you think of it, easy to find what you want?

We plan to monetize the site by charging a small monthly subscription to access the more advanced workouts on the site. This will be introduced in late April.

Since the site went live in early January our traffic has been doubling each month and we will very soon reach 20,000 monthly uniques. Currently we have only launched the beta version of the site and plan to add many more features and content in the coming months.

The main reason for this post is that we’re actually looking to expand our team and recruit web savvy fitness experts to help enlarge the workout database, offering many more routines and catering for people from literally all backgrounds. The role would initially require 10 - 15 hours a week but would move into a permanent position once the business establishes itself.

If you’re interested in finding out more, feel free to download the full brief from here:

    Thanks again,

    WARNING TO ALL.

DO NOT DO WORK WITH WORKOUTBOX. THEY WILL PROMISE A SHARE IN THE COMPANY AFTER A ONE MONTH VOLUNTARY TRIAL PERIOD. THE WILL TAKE YOUR WORK AND USE IT AS CONTENT ON THEIR SITE.

    Heres how my story goes:

I talked to Simon who told me all the great things about WorkoutBox. Which is in theory a good site. He promised me a percentage share in the company along with a paid salary. This would begin after my one month trial period. I worked for about two weeks creating content for the site when they stopped talking to me and ignored my e-mails. Finally a week later they told me that they have found a better qualified partner and had no use for me and I would no longer be receiving the salary and share that was promised. I said that's fine as maybe my work wasn't good enough, or the had really found a better person for the job. I knew that working voluntarily was a risk, but I was willing to take it because I was potential in the site. So I requested for him to take my content off the site and he refused saying that I did it voluntarily and gave it to them.

Whether what he did was right or wrong I am certainly pissed off and felt it would be useful to warn all of you Young Entrepreneurs out there before you waste a few weeks of your time and effort!
