tipsongifts.com needs a developer, who requires $, which I dont have

    Hi All,

Hope all of you are doing well...

I just bought this domain name, tipsongifts with a com extenstion, which I think, if developed proprley, will be a major hit.

The sequence I imagined in my mind is listed below:

    1) Usually when we want to get a gift to someone dear to us, we dont know what to get them. It is sometimes frustrating, and you end up giving them money and asking them to buy whatever they desire. Usually, this approach fails.

    2) Some people, and I consider them a rare specie, have this talent of coming up with the most creative ideas of gifts and presents. They can chose for you the present, the presentation of that present, the timing at which you should give that present, and so on and so forth. Those people can be employed in tipsongifts.com to give advice for people, privatley or publicly, depending on the circumstance.

    3) After establishing a relativley big database of visitors to the website, we can then suggest a gift, and then supply it ourselves.

    4) Good thing is that the gift can be so personal. For example, my annviersary is in a week and I just fought with my wife and her parents are staying with us during the anniversary. Those are unique stuff and could be utlilzed to chose the best fit gift.

I hope my explnation was clear. Please give me your feedback, and If anyone wants to invest, I am more than ready....

    I Like It!

    Hi,

I really like the idea and do think it could become a hit.

Do you know if there are any other websites offering the same service?

Also, have you thought about how and when you a going to charge for your service. For example, if you offer the service for free then try to charge once you have suplied the idea, what is to stop the customer just purchasing the gift himself and refusing to pay you? If you went the other way and tried to charge before the gift service was supplied, how many people do you think would pay for a service before seeing the goods i.e. what if they paid and didn't like your idea? Or were you just looking to make money from advertising space etc?

If you drop me your response to crocodile007 at hotmail dot com I will look into things for you.

Was it an investor you were looking for or an actual business partner?

    Thanks.

I wanted to reply on your hotmail but since those are good questions I will answer them publicly.

First of all the advise is for free. We would not charge anything to begin with. This, I think, will drive alot of traffic to the website.

We will make money by two means. The first is the advertising space, and imagine the diversity of the companies we can advertise for. It can be jewlery stores, fashion designers, choclate stores, bakeries, flowers, and even cars. It can be trips to vacations over seas, a dog, or an iphone. It can be almost anything.

The second method is for the website to supply those things, with relativley cheap prices. We call those companies( the suppliers ) and propose that the website becomes an outlet for their products. So, we supply the idea, and once confirmed, the advisee can purchase what ever it is from us directly.

Of course we get a apercentage of the sales.

I am looking for an investor to fund me, and also help in developing the website if he has good ideas to improve it.

Crcodile if you are still intersted please contact me via private messages and lets start from there.

    Hi Hashmos,

Your idea is somewhat similar to Amazon's "Gifts and Wish List". This service allows someone to search for a friends email, if that friend had entered an item on their "gifts or wish list" it would become available for purchase. Basically automating the gift selecting process. Needless to say, Amazon user's would benefit from taking the time to create an itemized wish list just in case someone wanted to give a gift.

Visit the Amazon site and click on the "Gifts and Wish List" link in the title bar on top.

    Hope this will help you.
