Schubros-Weeks Brewery LLC is looking for a final member of our founding team – a Chief Sales/Logistics Officer (partner) or Sales and Distribution Director/Manager (employee or contractor). We are based out of the San Francisco East Bay area, and are shooting for a 2012 Q2 launch.

If you enter in the employee/contractor role, your advancement path (starting point depending on career experience) would run: Sales Manager, Sales Director (transition made as you hire, train, and manage subordinate Sales Managers), then Chief Sales/Logistics Officer. However, opportunities to shift disciplines will abound if desired -- after all, we are a startup; there'll be enough work to do inside and outside of any walls delineated on your business card. You can take ownership (equity) stakes in the company as desired.

Core Responsibilities for the employee role will include:
• Account prioritization and call-plan development and scheduling
• Daily delivery of beer to established customers
• Daily sales calls to acquire new accounts and expand market presence
• Service of draught equipment including maintenance, installation and line cleaning
• Minor data entry and market research
• After a couple years, responsibilities should include hiring and managing sales and delivery staff
• Serviced accounts are predominantly East Bay along 680/880, eastward along 580 to Livermore

Desired traits and experience in priority order include: (you needn’t have all of them – few will, and its our job to give you the opportunity to develop any gaps)
1. Congeniality – can you start a conversation with anyone, anywhere? How good are you at helping them express their needs and concerns?
2. Passionate self-starter – we’re a startup, and that means there’s plenty of work. We’ll need you making command decisions, and jumping on good opportunties when they avail themselves.
3. Bar/Restaurant experience – what happens behind a bar, in a kitchen, or at the tables?
4. Sales experience – have you walked this walk before?
5. Alcohol industry experience – do you know beer or similar industries?
6. Computers experience - PC familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office and Google Apps

Plus, as an employee you’ll get a competitive compensation package -- considerably more flexibile and development-oriented than you would expect from a new company in such an attractive industry. You’ll be commanding our front-line and that’s worth the investment in our eyes. Compensation blends base/commission/education/housing/medical benefits/retirement plans and equity. If you join, we’ll work out the mix with you according to your needs and objectives. There will be a 90 day probationary period if you sign.

If you enter as a partner, as the Chief Sales/Logistics Officer, we will ask you take an ownership position in the company, and you will be responsible for crafting our sales planning and call routines, building out our sales team, and running distribution operations. The same required traits and experiences outlined above apply, but the bar will be higher. That said, understanding and street-smarts means more than calendar years burned through in a "job", so we set no "minimum years" requirement.

For both roles, 3 absolute requirements exist: (1) Candidates must be able to lift 125lbs to waist-height, and (2) possess a valid California driver’s license and clean driving record. (3) Finally, you must be over 21.
