    Serious Innovator

I am a serious innovator and I have tons of great ideas for business and inventions, I dont have much business experience though but I am a very determined individual and I am learning more and more everyday. I need to meet more people who think like me or have business experience so that we can put this all together. I would love to talk to some innovators like me and entrepreneurs so that I could make some partnerships so that we can make money.

Yeah, I would like to make money being an "idea guy" as well. Going from paper to reality can be a challenge, but it's this process and the learning that comes from it that is so valuable.

If you get a line on how to make money being an "idea guy", let me know.
Conservative opinions from someone who thinks a little differently than most.

Obviously the hardest part of being an entrepreneur is turning an idea into a business. For someone without business experience, the best thing you could do is network with other people. Talk to successful entrepreneurs, meet business people, join organizations, be active in nonprofits.

I was at a "Meet the Angels" panel event this morning, and there were some people there who don't have business experience. We also saw presentations from people who lacked business experience, but who surrounded themselves with a strong team and solid advisors, who ultimately became funded. So the key is to go to events, meet new people, and learn more about the entrepreneurial process.

    Optico,

Ahh, this is typical. Everyone has ideas, but not everyone knows how to go about initiating or carrying out those ideas to begin making money. It is a process, but it is far from impossible (as we've seen with ventures such as Google, YouTube and so many others). You hit it right on the nose to start...you need to find people who are knowledgeable, and more importantly, who you can TRUST. Don't go throwing you're ideas out on this board, or anywhere for that matter. I see a lot of people like you, and I'm one myself. I've got a ton of ideas, many of which I'm carrying out right now by myself (I've got a degree in business and currently in law school so I plan on doing things MOSTLY by myself). I've got an entire list of things/ideas/concepts/inventions I want to pursue. It isn't cheap, nor is it a quick process. Take you're time and talk to someone who wants to know details, can bring something to the table and is willing to share the load. If it is truly mean to be, you're idea will take off if you plan and go about it right.
