My product line is based on 4 animated characters, and my target market is 4 and above. All items are copyright protected.

My immediate goal is to test market the board game. Meaning, having 500 manufactured (I have bill of materials), and use point of purchase displays at select mom and pop or larger stores, possibly on 30 day consignment.

My short-term goal is to brand/market the 4 product characters. They have potential for placement on everything from stickers to t-shirts to bedsheets.

I am looking for an investor/partner with vision and capital. We can discuss all business matters at your leisure.

I do not possess an MBA and do not have a completed business plan, nor do I have experience in the toy industry. However, I have been diligent with my research and development, and have overwhelming positive feedback from educators, day-care providors, parents, and of course...children.

Here is a summarized breakdown of cost for 500 board games:

Manufacturing: 500 units @ 6.99 per = $3,000

500 is the minimum, but prices decrease with qty

Shipping: Unknown

FOB (Ningbo, China) I will need weight to determine cost. I must coordinate with manufacturer, customs house broker, and consolidator in U.S. However, not expected to be more than $500.00

Other fees: $5,000

UPC (membership, and labeling cost)

Product Liability Insurance

Point-of-Purchase displays (includes poster size display labels)

eCommerce Merchant Set-up

Miscellaneous: such as start-up website, 1-800 telephone number, small run of marketing custom business cards, envelopes, and brochures.

To limit expenses, this will be a home-based run business first to determine strength of demand. I have a distributor in U.S. and will also distribute myself via internet and door-to-door.

In addition, I will have marketing experts from SCORE helping with extended marketing needs once the board game is on the shelf. I will also get free publicity/advertising from a major television news channel. I already had one interview and will get 15 minutes on their show.
