Question About Investors Reaching Out To Me?

So we started a company and have had a few investors (tech startup funding etc) reach out to us to ask if we are interested in funding. We are, but I am a bit leary of someone reaching out to us.

Any recommendations on things to look out for that may scream "run"? Additionally, being that this is our first venture, what our some good resources for determining value, capital necessities (ie: the amount needed) and any other information we may need when/if we present?
