I am looking for a few partners who want to go in on a project I am beginning to draw up. Without giving away the key details about my project I will say that my project pertains to forums and creating a new type of forum.

Forums for most sites are somewhat similar. Using YoungEntrepreneur as an example, their forum is similar to most other forums I belong to. And owning a site like YE is ideal because the content is all user generated so you don't need to spend your time creating content, you can focus on innovating the forum more.

My project pertains to creating a forum that is innovative, flexible, interactive... if Forums today are part of Web 2.0 then my idea for this project would be part of Web 3.0.

Now I haven't decided if this forum project would be used to create sites that my partners and I would own, or if the forum we create would be licensed to sites, or if it would be given away for free (but there would be some form of advertising space on the each forum that we control). But those are 3 viable options for generating revenue.

I have business experience both on the web and outside of the web. I am not a programmer so I would be looking for two partners who are programmers and one partner who is a graphic designer. I have considered outsourcing this offshore and having them create what I want, but I think the cost of getting a few people to do this will run between $10k to $20k which is more then I have laying around so I figured I'd see if I could take on partners and give everyone a share in the business.
