    Partner for used video games

Starting a used video game website. Selling lots of my collection and will be buying mainly from craigslist and reselling online. Some games you can buy at a flea market for $1 turn out to be super rare and worth $30 - $50.

I can handle the website, unless your more experienced than I am. Thought I'd look for a partner to do the same with me to expand the site and have a bigger collection. Must be in USA.

I may be interested in this venture. I do not have a large collection of games but i do have a lot of contacts with flea market merchants and lots of college students. I go to flea markets and garage sales quite frequently. I would be interested in working a deal where i could supply you with games i find in my area (central texas.

thanks for your time and look forward to talking to you,

I will only be selling about 50 games from my collection, but will be buying mainly from craigslist and yard sales.

But I was wondering about doing a thing, where you buy your own, and sell them, and each product listed has your id on it, so you make the full profit on your own items, but working together would make the website bigger and draw in more traffic.

I don't know if something like that would be good, or if you bought the games, systems, etc, and I send you money for them, but then I make the money when it sells.

It's all an idea, I want to do it, but need to make a plan and a goal.

I think that the "ebayish" style of allowing people to sell their own stuff may work best for you. This will bring extra traffic without tying you up with logistics of shipping etc. The toughest part i think will be valueing the games while out in the field. How much should I pay for this game or what could i sell this for? Those are some tough questions that will make or break the business. I was thinking of maybe going to gamestop and seeing what system they use for valuing games and maybe get a print out of their database?

It is a long shot but may be worth it.

That would be helpful to have. Many games are rare and super rare and 10X the value. Looking at ebay prices gives you an idea if it's a rare or not.

Do you think the website will be about collecting rare games or more of a general buy and sell with some rare games thrown in? THere is good money in both but i do not know anything about the "collectible" game market.

It'd be a selling only website, mainly the older games like regular nintendo, super nintendo, sega genesis, etc. The newer games and systems cost too much and you might make a dollar profit.

I can find out quickly if a game is rare or not.

Just an idea. If you guys could find old console systems that are still in good shape and sell them as well. I think people will see all those games they used to play and would want to buy them but they do not have a console to play them on.

    It is just an idea.

    Best of luck.

Yeah I planned on old systems as well. I wish I know how to repair them, if I also had a repair service with it, it'd bring in much more customers.
