It is quite possibly the most over-saturated market on the internet, aside from spamming. However, I have been quite lucky to garner a few experienced web hosting gurus through social networking and referral from successful entrepreneurs.
However, some of these guys are not looking to start another web-host from the ground up as they just sold their old web hosts and are looking for some capital to get this venture off and running. I know I know, if they are so good at web hosting, why dont they just do it all over again? Well, you tell me! I have no clue, I guess its just the fact that they want some capital to get things rolling.
We plan on having a virtual private/dedicated server to start and move to in-house hosting once operations take off, if all goes well.
So my question to the YE community is.... What is the outlook on gaining capital for a web host? One with a very solid business plan and exit strategy, let alone an amazing marketing plan and contracts ready to be signed by web designers for their clients. But, they are all patiently waiting to see some progress first and that is in the means of capital investment.
Oh and by the way, if anyone located in the United States is interested in joining our group, please send me an email with your experience in web hosting to cameron@zerg*money*com (remove the *). Were not that picky and greedy with sharing equity with another as long as they are qualified and proven.
