BigBlindOnline.net, the largest poker warehouse in Northern California is looking for local Associates in major metropolitan cities in the US to begin their own local poker retail operation. We are not a start up company, and have been investing diligently in the last two years in our custom manufacturing capacities and quality control aspects in the poker retail industry. Last year, we grossed over 6 figures here in the Bay Area with $0 marketing budget (all word of mouth and grassroots marketing) and are confident that we can replicate our local success in all major markets.
A bit about the company..
Big Blind Online was started by two friends in late 2005 as a side project to supplement income. The timing coincided the WSOP coverage and Texas Holdem fever here in the US. We began to import poker equipment from China and other international source, as was the norm. Initially, without any manufacturer backing, we could only targeted the low end poker products because, well, China makes junk.
In late 2006, we decided to shift our priorities, go into business full time, and instead of peddling junk like most poker retailers on the net, invest heavily into custom manufacturing and quality control. We put everything we made in the first year back into company infrastructure, visited countless furniture and gaming factories in China, and built two relationships with factories who were willing to produce products for us with our own quality control standards. In early 2007, we introduced our first custom poker table model the Gen II's to the Bay Area market. It was wild!
Because we set up relationships with the factory, we had a product that was better then the market at a price point lower than the market. In short, our second year (first full year in business), we made 6 figures.
A bit about the Association program...
Here is why we are looking for Associates. We are known for our poker tables, and that is what we lead with. But for selling poker tables, the market is inherently based on region. The reason that people do not buy poker tables over the internet is because they will be forced to pay up to 40% in additional costs for shipping, which not many people are willing to do. So by establishing local Associates who are business savvy and motivated, they can open up their respective markets, however vast they decide it to be.
The program we put forth is very simple, we extend our operation models to our Associates, and they receive our custom products for sale in their region. Stock as much, or as little as you like (our SF warehouse will be the central distribution hub and can drop ship anything for our Associates). We also help implement the grassroots marketing strategies that helped us gain a sizable stake of the Bay Area poker market. There are quite a few other supporting programs we offer our Associates, which is in our complete business proposal (PM me and we'll discuss it).
One unique thing about our plan is that we do not charge any franchising or ask for any money. Everything the Associate makes goes to his/her own operation costs - we do not touch your finances. I repeat - All revenues go to the Associate.
I'll stop here, because its getting a bit long as is, but while we are steadfast in the recruitment of a few (we are recruiting quality candidates and not going for sheer volume of Associates) motivated, business minded individuals to enter new markets in the US, this business is really quite unique because you get to do something that brings joy to your customers. Last year we had over 200 unique customers, all of which left with a smile on their face after purchasing something from Big Blind Online.
