Hello,
My friend and I are starting a Mediterranian restaurant in Union County, NJ. We leased a nice sized and very visible space on a high traffic location. We purchased most of the equipment and furniture and were ready to open until some construction issues have caused us to find a third partner for funding. Ideally, we would like the third partner to be a chef so that he/she can run the kitchen. My partner has 15+ years in the restaurant industry and a degree in economics. I have a Management and Economics degree and have worked in finance for many years, as well as several years of restaurant experience before that. Ideally, the 3rd partner would be in charge of the kitchen (managing cooks, keeping inventory, menu and cost management, etc.) while I keep track of all finances/marketing (invoices, deals with suppliers, advertising, accounting, etc) and my current partner would run the day to day activities of the restaurant (in charge of waiters/busboys, keeping dining room in order, ensuring all operations are running smoothly). We should be ready to open in a month or so as all other things have already been researched and lined up. Please contact me if you are interested and I will gladly share the details. We have a fully detailed business plan and are confident that we will do very well based on location and concept. Share of the profits would be based on % of investment. If we cannot find a 3rd partner that is a chef and someone would still like to invest, we would split the profits based on % of investment, but my partner and I would have a salary since we would be working.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
