    Post Need your wisdom please.

I learned along time ago that you can never know it all. After reading many posts on here , I do see wisdom and wonderful creativity. Some negative outbursts , but they are everywhere.I would like your help.

Four years ago after having a wisdom tooth removed , I was rushed to the hospital and almost died. The dentist said all would be fine.Wrong.... Fluid collected around my heart due to a serious infection.Never had a health problem or anything before in my life.

To put it in a nutshell.By listening to doctors, I soon had blood clots in both legs, gained 150 pounds, diabetes, pnemonia four times, lung surgery, high blood pressure, and eventually 24 medications.

I failed three stress tests and they wanted heart and lung surgery.I said no.
Over the past four years, I have tried every diet, read every book, superfoods, pills etc. There is alot of bull_ _ out there.Very little was actually effective.

Using myself as a lab rat so to say, I experimented with everything.Invented my own fatboy water aerobics program etc.Found out what worked and what did not.

On June 15,2007 after a bad fire which I barely escaped,I finally allowed them to do the heart cath and other tests.

The good Lord and I kicked their behinds. The cath and other tests showed I had the heart of an eighteen year old super athlete.Blood pressure is now 116/72 with a resting pulse of 70.No medications at all now. No more diabetes.Lost over 100 pounds with 60 yet to go. Doctor's gave me a clean bill of health.Totally.

I want to share my program with everyone.Everyone should know that doctors are not the best option.I have also found the lowest prices on the foods and other products that helped me.

    My questions finally.

How can I spread the word to as many as possible ? Do you know of any warehousing facilities that could take and handle orders ? Any help you can give me would be deeply appreciated. My motivation is to help others and to keep the lowest price. Many companies are out there charging an arm and a leg for products that cost very little.

My research using myself as the test subject is all documented and is not the usual advertising bull you always hear. Like the Subway guy. Give me a break.

    Thanks everyone.....

    Sleighter,

I think you would have a hard time distributing due to having only one test subject-you. The only thing I can suggest is an e-book. The thing is-I'm not an expert at this but if you are dealing with people's health and all, I would think that you would need to be a certified dietician and or health instructor to even spread such a method.

Silver lining is you probably bought yourself a few more years by losing weight and getting healthy.

I am not sure what to think of this idea. On the one hand I would be very careful regarding liability issues and the fact that you don't have any professional experience/training. On the other hand, I am sure that half of the diet books/programs out there are written by people who lack medical degrees etc. Add that to the fact that most 18-20yr old "trainers" in the gym have no clue either.

Maybe a motivational book/video would be a better idea than trying to sell a "program". I can't imagine any liability issues arising with a motivational book and people could "copy" your routine if they chose to. That is probably the route I would take.

One other thing. Be VERY careful saying that Doctors are "not the best option". In some cases the medical professionals are the only option and without them death will result.

I would hedge your language if you are going to make a claim like that. For example, you might say "doctors might not be the only option when considering weight loss programs..." instead of "Dr.s are not the best option". You dont' want something to happen to an individual who misunderstood what you were saying etc.

I think you have a great story, just be careful how you 'package' it. Good luck

    Several comments:

To 2gould, you're good to go in any profession which does not REQUIRE a certain degree, certification, education, etc., but make sure you don't hold yourself out as having any of these which you do not, even where they are not required, as this amounts to fraud and misrepresentation.

I agree with you though that Sleighter's comment that "everyone should know that doctors are not the best option" is about as ignorant as they come.

"By listening to doctors, I soon had blood clots in both legs, gained 150 pounds, diabetes, pnemonia four times, lung surgery, high blood pressure, and eventually 24 medications." Are you kidding?! Just think how bad off you would have been had you NOT listened to doctors!

Moreover, you stated, "I failed three stress tests and they wanted heart and lung surgery.I said no." Clearly, your health problems, as evidenced by your stress test results and need for heart and lung surgery seems to indicate that there was something wrong with your health that was NOT caused by anyone else.

I'm very happy for you that you had the courage and perseverence to work hard and achieve a healthy body. However, making ignorant statements such as "doctors are not the best option," coupled with the clear indications that it was NOT the doctors' fault that you had health problems, blows your credibility out of the water. With your animosity towards the doctors that took care of you, if it were their fault, you'd have already sued and settled.

Now, if you want to promote your product or system, focus on the positives and use those twelve examples in promoting it, but don't try to scare people into it. All you've done here is make yourself look ignorant.
