Need investment ideas/direction

First post - so bare with me. Nice to meet everyone:

I've had a few small businesses such as graphic design and web design. But I feel as if I'm just settling for something that just makes a little bit of money. I want to get into a higher risk business which I have a few ideas for. There is a couple resources that I've seen online such as FundConnector.com (seems to be fairly new but I cool idea for entrepreneurs and investors) and there is also creativitypool.com which looks super out of date.

Essentially I would like to start meeting with other entrepreneurs and see if we can start throwing some ideas around.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would relax for a while and really think hard on what you want to do, asking people for ideas and running with one is a little risky. Think about your core areas of knowledge as well as your interests, there should be plenty of ideas that arise!

What do you enjoy doing? That is the direction you should go. What would your typical day look like, etc.

Well obviously people make a living out of networking and finding investors with entrepreneurs. I happen to be associated with a group of those people. The current project I am working on is Conektinc.com
