    Need Help With Funding

I have a business I've been working on for a couple years now. I sell a niche of apparel online . I can do it in my part time when im not at work and have no virtually no over head. I used my $600 surplus tax check earlier this year to give it a kick and see what i could do with that. I made about a 30-35% profit on each turn of inventory after all cost incurred were paid. It was going well and i just planned to let it grow from there but my engine blew in my car and i had to use the profits i made , the initial investment and money in my savings for repairs. I planned on using prosper.com to get about $4000-$5000. This would give me enough to lead my orders in advance as i know that i can sell about $1500 (my cost not total sales) a week. My orders are usually split up and take a 1-3 weeks but usually not more than 2 weeks for me to receive. Prosper.com is no longer an option because they are not originating new loans at the time. I cant get a traditional loan because i don't have the credit right now due to switching jobs and moving. Does anybody have any ideas? I really need to find a way to get this going as ive worked a couple years researching and learning through trial and error and ive learned the ins and outs and ive seen success and it gets me excited. This is the one thing ive been wanting to work and now i need to find some funding or wait till prosper gives out loans again whenever that is. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

    Hey,

Sorry about your car engine. That really sucks. I'd help you financially with your business if I had the means to do so, but unfortunately I don't.

Have you tried talking to any of your friends and seeing if they could loan you the money for a couple months?

Do you have any collateral? I am assuming no, or you would have gotten a traditional loan correct?

The best thing you can do is to engage everyone you know in your plight. Talk about the business, speak about it with passion and let people know what you are trying to do. I assure you something will come up when you least expect it.

Did you purchase the 57" before or after you started your business?

Apply for multiple credit cards. Its expensive debt, but if your profit margins are real, then the business can support it. Many successful entrepreneurs funded their businesses this way when up against a wall.

You could also try an SBA loan, although I don't know if the amount you are asking for is below the minimum.

    Good luck

That's a cool idea. When you put it like that, raising that kind of money becomes a cinch.

    Hi BJL,
I can relate, I started my business last year and have since had the worst string of luck.
Mostly all caused by the recession and the Wall Street debacle. Anyway I was determined to overcome and I wanted to help other people take control of their destiny.
That's why I started my website. No collateral needed just people helping people. It's called it aint charity dotcom.
    Maybe we can help you.
