Thumbs up Need Business Partner for my Social Network called FameJolt

I'm looking for a business partner for my social network idea. It is called FameJolt.

I'm also looking for an investment to build the beta version of the social network.

The design + development of a beta version will cost $10,000 - $25,000

...or if there is a coder out there who will work for equity, that would be fine as well.

I have a STRONG feeling that this could become the next big "web phenomenon". I think that it could turn into the next myYearbook or Myspace. I really mean it. I know there are tons of social networks out there, but hear me out.

FameJolt is a place where people can find, connect, talk to , and share things with other people who share the same profession and or same aspirations.

Before signing up, you have to choose either "I"d Love To Be" or "I Am"

"I'd love to be" is for newbies. It's for the people who want to become a certain thing (actor, singer, etc)

"I am" is for professionals. It's for people who are already a certain thing (actor, singer, etc)

You then type in what you are or want to become in the box below either of the 2 options.

The user is then given a profile page to customize. Let's say someone wants to become a chef. Well, they could upload pictures of dishes that they've made and they could upload videos of them actually cooking. Then, other users can comment, critique, etc.

Once we build the social network, we will then present our social network to venture capital heavyweights such as First Round Capital and Benchmark Capital. Andreessen Horowitz is already interested.

I also have a bunch of people who live in the Silicon Valley (Palo Alto) who are interested in FameJolt and will take another look at it once the prototype is built.

If you would like to see the "web proposal" or pictures of what the social network will look like or anything else, then feel free to PM me. You can also email me - kenny17995 @ yahoo.com

Why would someone move from LinkedIn or Facebook and stay there?

I'm going to guess your name is Kenny.

-- At first I read "social network" and "next web phenomina" and almost skipped to the bottom to write "think of another idea"... but luckily I actually read the premise behind it. While I don't think it will be revolutionary and 500,000,000+ people etc..., you're on to something. It's a niche, and if profiles actually fit the desired recognition (chef, musician etc) then I can see it taking off for those people.

Have you thought about where your revenue would come from though? Would it be a freemium business model or advertising based?

    Richard
