Greetings! My name is Solomon. I am an independent recording artist. I am seeking financial assistance in an upcoming release.

Seeking private and corporate investors to assist in the production of an EP release set for January 6th, 2009 in the amounts of 500-4,000. Profits can be discussed privately.

Demographic is ages 25-35. 55% female and 45% male. Top selling markets are 1. Tokyo, 2. Australia, 3. U.S.A., 4. United Kingdom. Currently targeting a larger more profitable demographic of 35-55 male music buyers.

    Cost:

    *Recording/Production:
Currently running an average of $400-450 a song. Including production, recording, vocal arrangements, engineering, editing, mixing and mastering. Total CD cost averaging between $2,400- $2,700.

    *Promotional Images/CD Cover:
Photography for promotional images used for CD inserts as well as magazine promotional at $150-200. CD Cover design and inserts at $250-300.

    Projected Returns:
After independently selling 20,000 physical records at $6-10 each, this project will be released internationally on various online downloading sites (i.e.: iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon etc.) at a rate of $4.99. Expected sales are at 15,000-20,000 sales within a year’s period. With more promotion, awards recognition and magazine interviews/reviews, with the right visual images, expected year end sales at $30,000.

    Hello Solomon,

Do you have any links to your work?

Also you expect sales to be between 15,000 and 20,000, could I just ask how you came up with these figures?

    Thanks,

    Gareth.

    Gareth,

As far as 15-20k, I mean as in units. I've sold close to 20k units this past summer on CD's priced at $6-10. With a wider demographic, a stronger fanbase and reaching out to a worldwide audience, my team and I strongly believe selling 20k if not more units, priced lower, is realistic.

As far as work, I cant post my website. I tried to add a link and the site said I cant. However, you can try - thatsolomon dot com.

    Thank you,
    Solomon
