Hello YE Members,
My team and myself have been planning a Massive Multiplayer Strategical Conquest RPG for about 2 years now and we are nearing the end of the pre-production stage of development. Our team is looking for venture capital to help us bring this project to life.
Let me give you a little history of our team:
In 1993, my lead programmer and I met in a online chat room on a chat system called IRC. This was a DOS based chat system at the time using Dial-Up Internet. We started developing text based role playing games using Basic. in 1996, we started heavily contributing as a team of 2 on a game engine called Ogre3D. We contributed on this engine until 2000 when we changed to supporting a game engine called CrystalSpace 3D. We contributed on this game engine until 2003, then our team grew to 3 people as we met a musician called Rob Westwood. At the time Rob Westwood was a garage musician, doing various contract work and building his career. In 2006, our musician started doing contract work for Lucas Arts, yet stayed on the team with us in hopes of making a 3d mmorpg. Now in 2003, we made our first attempt at making ammorpg. We did this by writing our own game engine called i-core. For many years we struggled with this and actually learned a great deal. This project went on with no capital until 2009. In fall of 2009, we closed the project down and decided that writing our own mmorpg engine with no budget was futile. What caused us to close down the project was that we discovered a 3d game engine called Hero Engine. this is a 3d mmorpg game development system that is available commercially.
Ok, now that I covered a bit of history on what brought us to our current project. I would like to describe a bit about what we are doing.
In fall of 2009, we started planning a game called World of Eden. This game was designed as a free to play game that makes money by selling power leveling aids using real money. The entire game is based around a risk style territory control system that allows the players to control and build up the game world by using a capture the flag system. We have many systems that we have planned in order to achieve many aspects. First aspect is that the game has reduced the need for level grinding as there is the ability to power level your character. You level the characters equipment rather then the character itself however your character does contain the experience points. You gain skill points that can be placed in skill sections in order to make your characters traits.
I will go into more detail after going through a non disclosure agreement with anyone who is interested.
What we need is 30'000 USD per month for 24 months in order to complete the product. The product is then projected to generate approx 250'000 USD per month by the end of the first year of a public commercial launch and 1.25 Million USD per month by the end of the third year of a public commercial launch.
We are looking for either a single venture capitalist or a group of people to come together to provide the capital that we need to release the product. We are offering 34% of the projects income to the Venture Capitalist or Investment Group. Our team has over 17 years experience in game development and is fully capable of producing a marketable product.
Please feel free to comment and ask questions however please refrain from discriminating the product or its presentation. If you would like to be a critic then please feel free to contact me via private message and I would be more then happy to answer any concerns.
Thank You
