Looking for Start-Up Funding for an Adult Only Social Network or php/.NET/sql partner

I'm looking for a serious partner that is interested in making money through an adult only (18+) social network with me. Right now I need funding to get the website built.

I talked to a few programmers and they gave me figures and those figures almost made me fall back into my shell and scrap my project all together. But my boat can't sink right now!!! I won't give up on my dream to get this green!

So basically I need help getting this site created. Then I can move on to my viral marketing strategy to generate traffic. Will need help with promotion and maintaining the site. I'm trying to generate 6g or more per month in revenue through affiliate programs posted on my site. The affilate programs I have in mind are directly targeted to my adult audience. (adult themed niche)

If you don't have the capital to help out, but can program in php/.NET/sql then we can make this work as partners.

The problem i could see with this, is that there are already SOOOO many of these out there.

I guess you would need something which is different, or a niche?

also, for a programmer, this could be a waste of time, as they would need to do all this work, with no guarantee it will work.

Have a look at joomla with the community builder plugin.

Maybe i have confused this with dating sites?

But also, i think that Zivity is more of a im hot or not sort of site, with a more social side to it after reading the PR.

What would make an adult social site any different from myspace?

the site i have in mind is for kinky people who are sexually adventurous. u couldnt post erotic pics of yourself on myspace. this is why my site is 18+. its for people who like to bare all and spare none.

playboy just made a social site but its for college students and its a non nude site. my site is like a free personals / social network / pr0n site all in one. i need a coder so bad!

im good with photoshop and here is a demo of what i want the site to look like. but i need a freakin coder!!!

i dont want my site to be listed when people do searches so im going to space it out.

Sounds interesting. I guess the problem with such a site is, will there be alot of ppl willing to post pics of them selves?

Man u have no idea!!!

I've come across a few sites but they are all poorly made and use the same phpfox script. There are alot of freaks in the world man. Thing with the site is you don't really have to post nudes. But there are people out there who will. This is fact. I'm trying to draw kinky people and market sex products to that audience etc.

so i have to go the poor mans route and find a way. start small and grow.

yes thats my design, but thats the thing. i dont want to look like myspace. i want my own look. ive seen so many sites that use the myspace like script and it disgust me. if i could develop my own look ontop of a myspace engine then sure i would do it. just as long as when u look at it u dont say..oh this is a myspace rip off etc. for me image is everything.

will the site be free? for starters yes. i need to market and build the population. i could later add special services that will require a fee. my main goal is to get that traffic. once i have that then i can open up more options.

look...you're not gonna get a cheque cut out to you by a stranger 'caus you posted some stuff on this forum.

Instead, for your benefit, let's try to list and prioritize 10 ways you can solve your problem;

1) Offer investors for equity, and hire a developer
2) Offer investors for debt and hire a developer
3) Offer developers equity
4) Offer developers debt

Okey...options 1,2,3 are inferior. They are other unrealistic, too complicated, or too expensive. Option 4 is your ticket.

Ramp up the number of developers you contact, and use your negotiation skills to close trade credit.

What are your other options? Do you know how to persuade people to give you trade credit?

I never had to persuade investors or anyone for funds. I'm just the average joe who has an idea/dream that I believe can generate revenue and is trying to live it. But people keep taking shots at me trying to shoot my dream down. If I can't find an angel to help me then I will just have to curse the gods and hustle the money myself and get things rolling. Im all open for schooling. If you want to school me on what path to take, I'm all for it. -the pupil
