Looking for investors for a search engine

Hey. I know this is my first post but I been glancing on this forum for a while now. I don't really know how to start the post off as I have never asked for a investment before.

My idea is to start a big search engine. Before you say it's impossible I have created many sites ranging from different topics. I use to run a software site in the alexa rank of 15,000 when I was around 11 years old. Sadly as I was sponsored by a hosting company they took the domain after 2 years (page rank 5 already).

Now I own all my domains myself. I even have my own dedicated server (many webmaster don't even have this) and I'm only 16. Nothing to brag about really but just letting you know that I will try to accomplish the goal as much as possible.

Here's the idea. I don't want to explain too much as I seen threads of people stealing ideas.
Search Engine.

Now what did I accomplish so far?
I have invested around 1500-2000 dollars I earned myself online within 3 month. I have my own dedicated server. I also have the search engine script and I have crawled around 80,000 links already.
I have a amazing fabulous template setup already. The main page and the result page, directory page and the comming soon page. Also other features that are setup are directory, proxy, image hosting. Although some more features are comming along (video hosting, and free blogs).

Now the reason why I need investments.
As you know google has over 450,000 servers world wide. I have only one currently. In order for me to spider the whole web (over billions) I need many servers to increase the speed of spidering.
I need funds for:
-Development of the script
-Renting more servers.
If I do get alot of funding from this I am happy to incorporate the company before the site is released.

Now I really am confused how to get investments. I'm not looking to beg here. I do earn quite alot from online but not enough to own tens of servers.

Here's some investments web 2.0 sites have before they were start up:
Twitter-first round funding 1-5 million second round 22 million and third round 35 million.
Google-first round- 35 million second round
OneRiot-7 million
There's so much more.

I'm not just looking for investments if you don't have any. I could benefit from some tips also. I'm really confused how to start this off. I really thought this would be a easy project although I'm still amazed I accomplished so much.

Right now I also have image search and web search working. Although I only have around 80,000 links crawled with around 3000 images, 500,000 keywords and 500,000 media links.

i'm looking for investments within 10,000-100,000 range. I really don't expect millions to pour in.

I really don't know how to go about this lol this is really really my first thread on funding.

I can't help but, if you plaster this on tons of sites, see if you can get the likes of godaddy etc for the support.

Also you will really need a good name, and a reason for somebody to visit your search engine over the likes of google or yahoo.

I don't now but is there a way to just search for a special niche. Like tatoos, or something. Ok you might not have many people wanting to search on there. But as its specific, it will be easier to get the money from them if they do...

Here's the name i have most of the tlds registered.
Brivy.
Search engine market is around billions. Now that is the reason why bing wants to get into it. Bing doesn't really have a specific niche either. They all want just a piece of the billion dollar cake.

More information. More sites indexed. Faster speed. More beautiful layout.
I haven't really shown the layout alot as I dont' want people copying it. But it will shown soon after it's ready.

If you are interested I'm happy to show you the layout though. All very positive feedback about the search engine design. None negative.

If you do though google my name you might find the thread I posted the design. I'm just new to this forum and I'm not sure how to start this one off I don't want to start having my links here yet (cause not sure if it's against rule policies).

Just some advice - I think the big money in the future will come from specific, targeted search engines who offer more value to their niche than google or bing can. An example is wotif.com - it has become a $400,000,000 business simply by offering a search engine to the holiday/travel niche

Very true.
I'm going to possibly have a niche but so far I need to raise a bit of funds.

I have been contacted by several people. But I need to know that your actually interested as some has only one post.
I am really interested in this and I have everything setup except in order to expand and finish this project I just need the funds for more servers.

Ah man you vs google? Google has TONS of book smart NERDS working for them! No one will ever be as big or as best as google.... I'm sure you can get better faster searches but google has a system. that stupid search engine Bing is horseshit Microsoft and Yahoo joined and they still cant even come close to compete with google.

But hey I could be wrong, I would hope you become successful and out do google, but I have google shares......

True but how did facebook beat myspace? Myspace was established before facebook and was a giant.
I know what you mean. But microsoft doesn't need a big chunk of the search engine market to have a net profit. I'm pretty positive the amount microsoft invested in bing and probably the partnership between bing and yahoo has already paid off or will be paid off soon.
The search engine market is billions. A little share is alot of money.

OP, I'll say that you definitely seem bright but I think this is a waste of your talents. With your abilities, why do something that has already been done before you? Not to mention, those that have done this before you have deep pockets to keep doing it better.

Now, if you had an idea that would revolutionize search engines as we know them, then, you'd have something there. But this is just trying to beat Google at what they do best without you having their resources. You're hoping to get $100,000 funding while they're busy buying up every half decent company for millions to billions in order to realize future growth (the whole "too big to succeed" concept).

Untrue... I was aware about Facebook something 1999/2000 when it started to be competition for local Estonian portal rate.ee whose idea was that people could publish their pictures to Internet. Later Estonian programmers went to sweden to write Skype and kazaa while russians in Estonia went to write facebook.
I wasn' aware about myspace since 2004 or something when Google wanted to take it.
