Thumbs up Looking for investor. (Full Business Plan Ready)

    Hello,

Thank you for your time at looking at this thread. I'm currently starting a Performance shop, selling and installing performance upgrades. Such as turbo's, inter coolers, ect. I already have several company's that I have made plans with to start a business relationship with so I can sell their products so I can be a distributor. My website is currently being developed with a secure shopping cart and as well as complete inventory backside so I can keep track of my inventory.

Going to call tomorrow to get my , LLC.

Also, the money from the investor(s) would go into a joint bank account requiring unanimous signatures to withdraw.

I currently have my business plan ready and willing to talk to anyone that is interested in investing in this company. Also willing to answer any questions you may have.

Thank you for your time, again I appreciate it.

    Regards,

    Zach Johanson.

    Hello Zach,

I am going to burst your bubble here: you aren't going to find financing on this forum, or any forum for that matter. If you are starting a business that performs a local service, you need to begin with traditional financing the same way everyone else does: friends, family, fools, personal savings, maxing out your credit cards, bank loans, etc...

There just isn't a rational investor out there that will invest in your business for the following reasons:
    1) It doesn't sound like you have any business experience
    2) The type of venture you are starting does not lend well to equity investors
    3) The post you made makes it clear you are a beginner in all of this

I am writing to help you get on the right track here. Its good that you have a business plan prepared and hopefully it addresses some major questions that people who can finance your business will have. What you need to do now is look for funding from people that know you. You have to use your own personal network to obtain the funding you need. People that are familiar with you and have trust in you are much more likely to invest in you than strangers over the internet. Where there are gaps in your financing requirements you may have to turn to your own personal resources, including savings and loans. I would also highly suggest finding a mentor or at least casually talking with someone who has started a business before to get you on the right track. From the language you are using in your post, its clear you could use a little help on business norms. Good luck with starting your new business!

    jasaunders,

Thank you for your time you looked at this to reply. I understand 100% of what you are saying. By no means did you burst my bubble, this is the knowledge I need to make a great company, along with getting it started.

    1) It doesn't sound like you have any business experience: I actually do have some business experience.

    2) The type of venture you are starting does not lend well to equity investors: I will agree with you on this one. But never hurts to try to get an investor on a start-up.

    3) The post you made makes it clear you are a beginner in all of this: I'm a beginner on this forum, hence the need to be here looking for support and knowledge along the way =]

Again thank you for your post, I will use it as advice =] Best of luck to you aswell. =]

Wallstreetjunior Hey man I like your idea and your just like the rest of us your looking to meet that right person that can invest and help us get to that next level. Good Job man!! Who said anything about looking for a equity investor? You said you were looking for a investor right that is what I read. Beginner or not you have a business that you want to open good for you man. Keep doing what your doing don't get discouraged by someone who has taken obviously to many business classes. Get your idea and your dream out there and you know what you will come accross some one who is looking for someone with the know how that you have about this area and you know what he will have deep pockets and you will succeed man. Again Good Job!!

I would recommend you first find a mentor. Sometimes we have great ideas, but if they are poorly presented, investors may not bite. perhaps go to your local SCORE office first and have someone review your business plan. It's free.
