You have got to be joking are you not, asking for a crazy small amount like that. Can you not borrow it from say family or friends or do a few small jobs to raise the capital,i have to say that is a bizarre amount to have ask for.I think most people would sit down and try and think business like on how to get money like that it could be raised by washing cars or doing some gardening for people rather than come to a forum and asking for such a small amount.

the reason im starting with a small amount is for a reason. look at the site name Young Entrepreneur . young people are not rich "most" so in a way im giving them ahand to start making money and then they can maybe if they want go big time . its what you call thinking of others ,NOT just ur self

I am sorry i have to disagree on that one but being a Entrepreneur or running your own business is not always that easy as coming to a forum asking for a small amount of capital.Starting out in business is very very hard and it takes sheer determination to stay the course and you have to work things out for your self its all part of the learning curve as far as i can see it.I wanted to succeed in owning my own business and trust me its not easy i gave it everything i almost lost a marriage my home and all my material things that i had build up over the years and in the early days the internet was not around so one had to raise money in what ever way you could doing even mundane things like gardening and other boring jobs but i did it and as they say the rest is history.
I wish you luck in your new venture and hope you raise your money.

Haha, I agree with Mega B..

The ONLY time you should start looking for investors is if you don;t have any other way to get the funds. For paltry amounts under $5k, you can ask family and friends. If your own family and friends don't trust you to pay them back, then I truly hope that no one else will.

Think of innovative ways to make the money to fund your venture. If you can't, flip burgers for a while until you decide whether or not you're cut out to call yourself an entrepreneur.

@bbbjjjrrrplay i would say that neither paul or myself have to prove anything really as we already own our own business ventures you come onto a Entrepreneur forum and people try to give some advice or guidance and you then come out with this 'i dont have time for time wasters try commenting on somthing at ur level'
That aint on in my mind.

I agree, I read another one of your posts asking for $200, just because your obviously broke doesnt mean you can try to cover yourself when your obviously scrounging money off people. There are many game websites out there and if you think your going to make it 'big' in that industry without ANY business acumen, which frankly I dont think anyone can see you have, you must be out of your mind. MegaB does actually know what he is talking about and I would take his advice and move on.

That comment was totally uncalled for I'm sorry. When people disagree with you, that is a chance for you to listen to what they say, and either better defend yourself, or learn from them. If you want to dismiss them altogether, then that is your right, but theres other ways to do it without burning every other bridge possible.

next time try something like "Thanks for your response, but that isn't the answer I was looking for. Anyone else have something to say?" <-- that way you're saying the same thing but in a more respectful way. I don't like it either way, but I've done it because yeah I'm looking for certain responses... but I have the respect not to demean or ridicule someone just for having an opposing viewpoint.

But do some RESEARCH BEFORE your try! It helps.

At "my level", I would have been happy to consider you if you had asked for a paid short term internship to learn how the business world works. But, sadly, at "my level", I can see that you are nothing more than a glorified panhandler. Learn what it means to EARN your keep, then ask people for their hard EARNED money.

As far as giving young people a chance -- what makes you think that you deserve a chance? Why should the hardworking people of this forum GIVE you anything? It's attitudes like this that drive me crazy. I can't believe all of the 'entitlement' they are teaching in schools now. Want to know what happens when you have a society of people that feel entitled? Read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. That's a great wake-up call for all of the touchy-feely liberal prattle that's all over the place.

    Chill, guys..
Maybe each of us got different perspectives over same issues..

When someone is struggling, even $1 means a lot..
When someone is a mult-billionaire, even $1m doesn't mean anything..

I figure that with a small amount to raise, it can be made with some part-time work or assignments..
However little is the capital, I figure that a sellable business needs to be in place to convience investors to invest..
I wonder if we got a business plan, or at least a marketing plan?
