I was interested in shred businesses. I live in an area with a lot of businesses and tons of paper that needs to be shredded. If anyone is interested please pm me. Thanks!

I work for Pitney Bowes, and we just recently took on shredding. We do both mobile "on site" shredding as well as shredding at a secure location. Before you just say "there is a lot of paper to be shred" are you aware that a lot of these companies have different levels of certification showing how secure their operation is? Something to consider, however this can be a very lucrative business as the paper can be resold for decent money.

    What exactly is your idea?

My idea was to rent out a small warehouse type building in an industrial park, buy a mid range commercial shredder and a van and try to get contracts with the local business'. I live in Wilmington, DE which is probably the credit card capital because of the incorporation laws here. There are tons of headquarters here. I did plan on taking the steps to get certified by the NAID. These plans are on hold as I believe my expectations are a bit high at the moment considering my current financial situation and the fact that I am still in college. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions let me know and maybe it will like the spark again!
