I want to start my own marketing and promotion company i have the resources i have people that do business cards and Flyers etc... and pretty big network of friends so I need to know how to go about actually getting it off the ground

Would this be internet marketing or offline marketing? I know the online marketing sector is quite dilluted, but if you were good enough, you could definitely make your mark.

offline marketing but with a mixture of both

sounds like a good plan if well drawn out and you know how to charge ppl for marketing there services. I wanted to do something like that also here in st.louis

not yet I'm trying to see what's best my biggest friend networks are in fashion music and sports so i'm trying to determine what will be more lucrative

Youngblacknrich (I like your screen name!)- I'd say try your initial network of friends first... via local networks, chamber of commerce, colleagues, and more. Then, makes sure your business plan has outlined your strategies and methods for at least 5-years. (remember, you can always go in and modify this if you need it.. nothing's set in stone!).

Then, make sure you've got a great brand. A brand says everything about a business... it's often the first impression and biggest voice of a product or service. The brand will set the tone for the rest of the marketing aspect of the business, such as the website, business cards, flyers and more.
