Looking for a programmer to build the company’s website from scratch and work on the development of planned (as well as others you’ll come up certainly with) new features and applications that will be taking place on the site. And eventually, build out the programming team and future site services and functions.
The candidate should be familiar with programming forums, chat rooms and social networks.
The company’s aim is to create a place online where people can share their interests and passions (sports, travel, music, cars, etc…) by interacting and exchanging information with others who share similar interests via personalized forums, personalized chat rooms and other features that I won’t specify here.
The ideal candidate is excellent in dealing with:
HTML / CSS / JavaScript, DHTML, Ajax / PHP (and/or other server side scripting language such as ASP, Java, C++...) / Databases, MySQL / SEO / Web servers
Having web design sense and experience and being excellent in dealing also with flash and programs such as Photoshop is certainly a plus.
Also, willing to work hard, being passionate, creative and social are important personal characteristics.
Ideally the person I’m looking for is currently unemployed or is looking to make the leap. Part-time initially could be just fine, but as things develop and funding starts coming in, the person has to be willing to leap and come on board full time.
As being a co-founder, you will have an important piece of the company. Thus, remuneration will be based on a salary + mainly stock options
