Wow... Well, at least you're honest asking for a donation, instead of outright begging. I'll donate you some advice - get a job at a fast food joint, work a couple of weeks, then look back on it and decide if that $200 you made is worth putting into your project. Or, use your skillz to design a site for someone. Basically, EARN your money and have some pride.

Your a walking joke you know that... Asking for donations just because you can't be bothered to put the work in to get the money. Starting a business is much harder than flipping burgers. If you can't handle that then there is no point in others donating.

I dont think anyone here wants to just give away $200, I think the best thing is if you think its a really good idea is at least write a business plan and offer a percentage of the revenue etc

Actually $200 for a worthy cause isn't much for a lot of people here on YE. However this person isn't taking it serious it though. That $200 donation will be a guaranteed waste.

thank u 8bit the reason i cant get a job is because first theres a credit crunch but i think Iamnotsatisfied understands that. ,i have had past sites but i was with a partner then and i wanted to have my own site so thats why im asking for this i dont see the point of me asking for $10,000 for no reason when all i need is $200

People who can't find a job just think that certain jobs are below them, if you can't find a job you are not looking hard enough. If I wanted, I could go around door to door and ask if people needed any work done around their yard in exchange for cash and could easily make that much in a days worth of hard work. Money is not made, it`s earned.

My reply to his other post where he was begging for $95:

At "my level", I would have been happy to consider you if you had asked for a paid short term internship to learn how the business world works. But, sadly, at "my level", I can see that you are nothing more than a glorified panhandler. Learn what it means to EARN your keep, then ask people for their hard EARNED money.

As far as giving young people a chance -- what makes you think that you deserve a chance? Why should the hardworking people of this forum GIVE you anything? It's attitudes like this that drive me crazy. I can't believe all of the 'entitlement' they are teaching in schools now. Want to know what happens when you have a society of people that feel entitled? Read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. That's a great wake-up call for all of the touchy-feely liberal prattle that's all over the place.
As far as a credit crunch... what does the credit crunch have to do with all of the fast-food restaurants that display "Hiring" signs? I used to be in the recruiting business, and know of a company that is bringing over 300 people from other countries to fill jobs that no one local is wanting to take. It's not a question of whether it is possible to find a job- it's a question of whether or not you are willing to get one.

You mentioned that you had other site in the past with a partner. Did those sites make you money? If they didn't then how do you know that this one will? Read about what it takes to write a business plan, and write a summary of what you expect to do. Offer that up, instead of redundant reasons why people should hand you cash.

    Cool

    What's in for the donor?

    Just a thought:
If the credit crunch makes it difficult to find a job, won't the same credit crunch makes it even more difficult to start a business?

I figure starting up & doing a business is far more difficult than starting & working on a job..

This site isn't built for donations, it is for capital and business partners.

Lolz @ JWS - Very True. What's sad is that there are at least 5 members on YE that will give you free hosting...

zbizman - Well, if you are so willing to tell us what to do with our money, why don't you give him that $80 you found (mentioned in this post)? Part of being an entrepreneur is taking risks, right?

I don't take risks, as you like to call it. I make calculated decisions and investments that have the highest chance of providing me with a good return on my time and money. Handing someone money without even knowing what they are wanting to do with it is not a calculated decision. It's not even a risk! You know what's going to happen to it, so why even call it anything other than charity?

As I mentioned before, I wouldn't mind providing our friend here with a chance to make some money. I am definitely not going to encourage someone that feels entitled to my money, or that of other hard working entrepreneurs. This is a horrible way to start on the road to being an entrepreneur. Look at every respectable mogul and tycoon -- a great majority of them had to work hard to get where they are today. The ones that didn't came with family fortunes, but even they have to be responsible and know what to do with their money.

BTW- what have you done, (other than finding some money) to qualify you to judge the rest of us giving advice?
