Hi! My name is Carlos and I am from Costa Rica. It is no secret that the new trend for companies in the US and worldwide is to open up business offshore to reduce costs or outsource certain operations offshore. Costa Rica has a variety of advantages for this type of operations that are currently favoring the growth of such services in the country. HP several years ago open up business in Costa Rica with one of its biggest operations in Latin America providing IT services, BPO services, Call Center with 7000 plus employees. The trend has continued for a variety of companies including farmaceuticals, IT service related, retail, etc.


China is currently the place to go for offshore outsourcing for video game related services like QA, Art, 3D Art and Programming. I think Costa Rica is a very viable location for this type of company and has an advantage over China with its similar timezone (GMT-6) over the US. Other advantages for Costa Rica are a capable low cost bilingual (English) workforce, political stability, good Internet infrastructure (multiple Internet connections). Expansion in other areas is also an option like Call Center, IT services like SAP, Software Factory, etc.
About me: I am married, 32 years old and I have 3 beautiful children. I am currently a SAP Senior Consultant. I am a hard worker and dedicated person and willing to go 1000% percent with this project. I am also an avid gamer and a follower of the games industry.
