Investment in my Website with very good returns.

    Hey,

I read with interest your post on Young Entrepreneur regarding your interest in investing in new start ups. I am Daniel, 17 and live in Ireland. From a very young age I have had an interest in business and last year, while in transition year, I set up a business. I started selling screen protectors & silicone cases on eBay. In September this year I put a push on my business to expand. I opened an account with a Courier Company and am getting one of the lowest rates of any company in Ireland. I also set up my website.

I have 3 suppliers. My main supplier is based in Shenzhen, China who provides me with iPod, iPhone, XBOX, Wii, NDSL & Computer accessories. I have been buying in small quantites of around $500. I also have a supplier based in the UK who provides me with MyVu & SanDisk Products. My last supplier is Zagg in America. I have yet to make an order due to financial difficulties.

I have invested a lot of my time + effort into designing and building this business & website and am so close to really making it work. I would love an investment of $2,000 which would allow me to finish my site($100), make a large order of stock from my Chinese website including delivery($1,200), order from my UK supplier($400) & order from ZAGG($300).

The above numbers include import duties, vat & delivery charges. I have the postal suppliers to deal with the orders so I will not be looking for more money. I would prefer to have this as a loan so I still own 100% of my business once I have paid you back. I understand you will be uneasy but I can prove I own the site & send you my business plan, stock price analysis & trading name registration documents.

    Best Regards,

    Daniel

Would you be able to finance your business by selling what you have and just ordered on eBay, and then take what you make to finish development of your new endeavor?

This may not be the answer you wanted, but I see it as one of the most feasible ways for you to launch your business rather than hoping for an investor to stumble across this post.

Thank you for your response. Currently my site is almost completely finished but all items are dispatched within 1 week which lose the majority of possible sales.

I buy from my suppliers in small quantities which means the shipping cost can double the cost of each item making profit margins extremely small. I have done the sums & 1 large order of $1,200 or so will mean I will be able to afford a second order for the same amount even after I have paid back the investment. So I would be self financing within 2 months all being well.

The only way I can find to grow my business is by making a large order. Everything else is only putting my business on life support, keeping it trading but not making any real profits.

I have received a discount for my first order and with some negotiation I only need $800 to make the large order. If anyone would like to help me out while making some money for themselves let me know.

The biggest trouble that i can see is you are asking for an investment in your business venture not once do you mention what is in it for the invester and how much you are going to repay them on top of the initial investment.

Sorry, I thought I had stated how much I would pay back but obviously I forgot to. If you were to invest $800 I would pay back $1,000 within 2 months. This is negotiable.

my suggestion is that you look into getting investment from someone local. It will be hard for anyone to simply send you $1000 cash and expect you to pay $1200 back on good will. Let's be honest here. You did not give your username on ebay..no reference to the unfinished site...And no clear definition of your strategy. Not that I think you are a scammer, but scammers make a better case for investment..lol....your best bet will be to look at friends family and people around you..

    Hi,

Thanks for your input. Obviosuly before someone hands me $1,000 I would expect to have to send them proof of ownership of the trading name & domain as well as the eBay account.

I did not state my website in text as I do not want it to be indexed in google so when someone searches my site this thread comes up for obvious reasons. I tried to insert a tinyurl link but cannot insert links until I have 10 posts.

    My website is:

    tinyurl . com /y9wvckp

    & eBay account is
    tinyurl . com /yejekrb

My strategy is quite simply, buy the stock that has been proven to sell well in bulk to lower the freight costs & then sell it on my website & eBay account.

I have the order ready to purchase with my Chinese Supplier. I am so close but need the cash injection to get it working. I have tried locally but failed to secure funding.

    Regards,
    Daniel

I am still hoping to secure the vital investment my business needs. I have decided on my final products for the order & will need an additional $800 to fund the order including import duties & freight.

I am willing, in exchange of investment of $800 to pay back $1,200 within 6 months. This is 50% back in just 6 months.

If anyone is interested in making some money & helping my achieve my dreams please drop me a PM.

    Regards,
    Daniel Lewis

Unfortunately I am only 17 and therefore cannot take out a loan. I wish I could as it would offer far better interest rates than what I have to offer to attract an investor.
