I would suggest that you do your research and find something that your passionate about - so that you truly will enjoy your Life.
If you decide to work from home, one of the main keys to remember is that you need to treat your home business like a million dollar business and not like a hobby. If you keep that fresh in your mind, you're destine to be successful in whatever you choose.

Thanks for the replies. I quit my job because it was in security and was truely awful and im not prepared to let life pass me by working for someone else. My time is worth much more than £7 an hour. I've had a few business ideas that iv developed but when it came to a very frank and honest S.W.O.T analysis i decided against it. When i was 15-16 putting on gigs i make £1000 a gig just throught clever word of mouth, internet marketing etc. Im talking little pub/club gigs here too! Every band would struggle to get 30 people but i managed to get 300 at least. Its in my blood.

It's not for everyone but i am a man of Hernando Cortez' heart. I believe one must burn there ships if they are going into a battle in which they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Either WIN or DIE.

Or am i to romantic in my thinking? Hmmm.

Well it definitely takes a passion for what you do to truly succeed - but for a lot of people, the biggest struggle is finding their passion. Not only that, once you find your passion, you then have to monetize it which is another struggle all in it`s own. I don't suggest contacting all these people who will tell you "how to live your dream life" because they can't, they will sign you up for some stupid MLM scheme like most of the people here do.

What you need to do is find out what you're good at, what you like to do, and combine these things to create a unique venture. If you ever want some advice pertaining to internet venture, shoot me a PM - I am more than willing to help you so as long as I see you help yourself. Most important thing is not to plan too much, just start executing! Execution is KEY!

I totally agree. I also believe ideas are not actually as important as execution. IF i had come up with microsoft would i of executed it as well as Mr.Gates. No. Same idea, just different execution. I dont believe in all those i made £32,345.04 a week scams. They piss me off so much. As you read them you can just see the different techniques as if they had ticked them off a checklist. Yellow highlighted headlines! Using approximate amounts when quoting income to make it seem more 'legitimate', the fake testimonials for Sandra, L.A and the e-mail capturing.
Im looking for real business oppertunities not these poorly thought out unethical home 'bizopps'!

Saything that i am interested in starting an eBusiness lol!

Well, lets go from there -

    eCommerce -

Depending on what you are looking to sell, you will have to have some capital to purchase the initial items. However, you could go the drop shipping route which is basically selling other peoples product and taking some of the revenue from them. However, then you have to compete with all the other websites out there in which case marketing is key - if you are good at marketing, this might be something you would enjoy.

    Membership Site?

I am not sure what you mean, if you mean user pays $x and they get content Y? Well, these are hard to develop and truely get into the niche of things. You must pick a particular niche and really offer up some good content to get people to pay for things online - I personally spend very little on subscriptions, most of them are on SaaS apps which really provide some sort of benefit. This might be soemthing you are interested in doing, developing a "software as a solution" and offering up a monthly subscription for that. Again, if you dont have the programming resources yourself, you will have to post up the monetary resources instead - also poses the "no capital issue"

    Online Magazine?

Are you a good writer, do you have a team of writers? Well, to be honest -if you are really passionate about it, pick a topic and start a blog - see if you can develop a good subscription base to your blog and from there try and convert them into readers of an online magazine - check out Smashing Magazine for a good starting point. They're an awesome web developer eMag.

It's really hit or miss with what you want to do, but you just need to pick something and go with it. If you fail, learn from your failure and start again. The trick is to fail quickly - learn that, and you're set. Check out this post - Seth Levine's VC Adventure: Failure

If you can build sites, I would be interested in talking to you about a partnership for a project of mine.
