I have a social networking site. Looking for $25,000 investment

    Hello,
I own a hugely popular local social networking site with almost 70,000 members. This is NOT a new site. It is well established for 4 years now.

I am looking for $25,000 investment to setup in house ad sales and generate tremendous revenue.

I would invest my own money but my mortgage adjusted and payments jumped up a lot so I do not have access to $25,000. I will in few months and if you would like I can buy you out within 6 months.

The potential for advertisers (key demographic, local area, 70,000 members) are huge but we need to get the advertisers.

I am looking to give away 25% equity.

I have a small business plan ready for potential investors and I am hoping you are from the US. I can break off the partnership but if you purchase the entire 25% we will complete this deal in person if possible.

I am located in New York City.

Thanks and PLEASE PLEASE pm me or ask me ONLY if you are serious and have access to that kind of capital

Before I waste time inquiring into anything else, you need to at least tell me what the site is.

If you have so little faith in your site that you won't invest any money in your own site, why should anyone else?

If you have invested $0, and I invest $25K, I sure as hell am going to own alot more than 25%. At very minimum I am going to own 51%.

?? the sites 4 years old and i put almost $40k into it. i just dont have the $25k i need right now to do inhouse ads. the site was more ofa hobby for me than an actual business but now i know the potential of the site and it has tremendous revenue potential.

I think you are making quite an assumption by stating that the owner has invested $0. That is your first pitfall.

The second is trying to determine what percent stake in a company you should be entitled to based on a dollar amount invested without any information as to the company. For example, regardless of how much the owner has invested, if a company has annual profits of $2.5 million and for whatever reason I am able to purchase a 25% stake for $25K, I'm not going to demand that, "at very minimum I am going to own 51%."

Be careful with assumptions. They can be dead wrong, as is possible here.

Please PM me the site name and any other relevant info not posted already. I suppose I am most interested in the revenue the site generates, and how, and all the cost associated with maintaining it.

If you like, PM me additional information on the site. Have you had any revenue models generated? I'd like to see what type of ROI I'd be getting on my money.

Personally, I think the market for networking sites to be extremely saturated. If you truly have the amount of members that you are claiming, then I don't believe you will have a problem finding an investor. Also- look into private equity groups and angel investor sites- I'm not sure how much money you'll be able to find on these forums.

Is there a reason you do not want to make the site address public?
