How to find investors?

I've been searching for an investor recently,which seems like an endless search.
Where to find them? How to convince them?

The thing is they lost their interest the moment I pop up the word "fashion", they just wouldn't allow me to continue, that it is different from regular fashion business and so on.

Well depending on your clothing type and style, you may want to consider a bit of sacrifice to gain your funding.

Consider selling a line or two to a clothing line that is already in existence. Whether you sell it for a flat rate for for a royalty is totally up to you, but then utilize that funding to further advance your own business. Several well known fashion company's have done the same to get themselves started. Just be sure you don't have a non-compete clause in your purchase agreement.

Thank you for your reply, normally commercial style is more popular but would something different be something more appealing????? (by different I still mean sth wearable and fashionable)

1. Do you have a business plan and cash-flow statements ready?
2. Why do you need investors to clothing line at all?
It's something you design and make the first piece together yourself. Then you go to fashion shops and if they make an order, they will pay some part in advance.
