Growthink.com?

Hello Everyone,


Has anyone ever done business with growthink.com? They were refered by a family friend, but I researched the name and I was only able to find some reviews and some of them were bad.

Their ranked #49 in the Inc, Magazine's 500|5000 list. How prestigious is this ranking?

At first glance I really liked the company, but now I'm a little skeptical. If you haven't heard of them, who would be your first choice?

We need someone who could write the business plan, gives us business advice, connect us to the right people, do market research, build a business strategy and launch it etc......

Also what exactly, is this field of expertise classified as? Investment Banking? Business Consulting?

What are some key terms we would be searching for? If we chose not to use them, it would be great to find someone else in the same field especially locally.

We would love to find someone local but we are willing to do over the phone,skype, email or whatever it takes.(move to Canada, Europe, Miami. Anywhere)




I apologize, I know that I asked too many questions and gave a lot of information, especially in ONE thread, but thought it might help.

I just want to say I really appreciate this website, and that everyone contributes, good or bad i will take it all, all the answers are appreciated.

My personal opinion, based on speaking to several individuals there, including Cory Levinsky, is that they do an excellent job in making research available. The research is good, the funding database is great and I havent heard anything bad about their business plans.

They give you a variety of tools with regards to raising capital but do not actually represent you or assist you in securing said capital.

All their research isn't going to do you much good if you dont have a sellable deal. It's not in the company's best interest to inform you that your deal stinks, it's their job to sell you their services. So, you may want to bounce your idea off of a few people and get some solid feedback before going forward.

Additionally, if you are in Socal I would look at keritsu (sp?), tech coast angels, and socaltech.com. If you want to know where the money's going take a look at deal flow media.
