"CrowdFunding" Start Up- Need Investors/Biz Partner

I have been dreaming up a new business/site I wanted to start based around the "relatively" new idea of crowdfunding. Sites like Kickstarter and Crowdspring are two examples of crowdsourced businesses. I believe this "social" form of business and raising ideas/money is the new wave.I am starting a business devoted totally to raising money for causes and those in need. Basically, the site would be modeled after Kickstarter, but without the requirements. The only requirement be to have a cause and to pay a small fee to post your cause. There would also be areas like featured causes and categories for organization. I will give more details to those who are interested in investing. What I am asking for is some seed money just to go into the coding/designing of the site and making it operational, as well as some marketing funds. I have been designing sites for some time, but I am no coder. I would oversee the design process and branding. I am willing to form a partnership with any investor interested and at that point they can decide how much or how little actual work they will put into the business.

There is lot of similar sites emerging, I'm running a campaign in invested.in at the moment as well. seems, that they are selling their source code as well so you do not have to start programming, check out their license price.

Thanks for the info. I will check into it more. After looking over it initially, I'm not sure the api will suit my needs or give the look I want to the site. That is my main justification for a programmer... to have someone design something site specific and tailored to my needs.

If you are seeking investment - you might be better off looking locally - asking friends and family or getting out into your community and networking with other professionals. The reason is that you will need to find someone who is more about giving back to a community than a traditional investor. Most traditional investors would not support your business idea as they are looking for markets and businesses that offer huge returns from proven concepts - which you have neither.
There is money to be had for what you desire - but, you might be looking in the wrong place.

Why not partner with a programmer?
BTW. I liked one crowdfunding site which works differently. So, you post the amount you are seeking and what you are offering as return. investors can sign up but they won't be charged until the full anount is collected.
other thing on such kind of business is that if you run it in US, you can't offer shares as return because it's against SEC regulations.

yeah sure gerbera send me some info and we'll talk! thank you for the info so far guys. i do think the business model is profitable, and I believe the notion of such a business far surpasses many others because you are not only making money... you are mostly helping others. that's my main goal.
