Hello,
I have built a web site that takes MLS listings and plots them on Google Maps. There are a couple of things that differentiate my web site from the competition:
1) My map allows sorting by several factors (price, date listed, square footage, etc) and the sorting on the map is indicated by the shade of the icon (the bluer the house, the greater the sort factor)
2) The map never makes a page refresh -- full listings, adding cities, sorting, adding filters are all AJAX calls, so you never lose your place on the page (my biggest complaint with trulia)
I am a technical guy, and can handle all technical aspects of the web site and its growth, but marketing and business are not my fortes.
I don't have the time or money to do much with this site other than search for a house, but I am hoping somebody reading this post will. I do have some ideas on how it can make money with broker-to-broker referrals, but for the time-being it is (IMHO) a great site that no-one can see.
The URL is realmapz dot com -- click on any of the town names to get a feel for the application.
Thank you
