Post Anyone looking to invest in a youth-owned business?

Hi, I am Joe Janeski Jr. from NY, USA. I am 15 years old and my friends and I started building mmorpg websites about a year ago. Currently, we have sold all of our old websites(darkmedieval(dot)com) and (thepirategame(dot)net), and are starting a new website. The new website will run off of the $200 NEAB Game Engine(engine.nowhere-else.org). We will be purchasing the extra ajax chat($30), arena($40), clans($40),dynamic avatar system($65),signature banner($25), and pets($40) for the engine from engine.nowhere-else.org as well. Our website template design will be a $126 premade template from game site templates. Currently, our team consists of me and two friends. My job is handle the business side of things and keep things moving. My other partner's job is to program the website. Her area of expertise is in php, java, photoshop, css, c++, c, c+, and many other programming languages. Our final partner specializes in seo work, which I have paid him $2500 for extensive seo work for my new site.

The site will make money by the selling of virtual in-game items and account upgrades. These items will range from $5-$500 in price and payment will be through money order, paypal, or escrow. The site will also sell limited ad space to other mmorpg games. Finally, the site will make the most money off of cpalead. Cpalead.com is a service where members will be able to fill out survey for free for special in-game items and benefits. This fits perfectly for the age group(8-18) we have, who don't have a crdit card or paypal. From past experience, the virtual in-game sales are 1%-8% of all members, with the average paying member spending $7.50 per month. As for cpalead, 10%-50% of all active members fill out at least 3 surveys per week based on previous sites. Cpalead pays an average $1 per survey, and pays through paypal. Our new site will be more user friendly and feature rich than the others, so the %'s could increase greatly. Browser-based mmorpgs tend to grow fast and become viral after the first 1000 or so members. By August of 2010, we plan to have 10,000 members on our site. Based on our previous numbers, you can see how profitable these sites can be.

My staff and I either have no jobs or are full-time students. Our time is free and we are ready to work on this project. Also due to the previous statement, our budget is limited. What we are asking form you is to invest in a young entrepreneur-owned business.

What are asking for is a $500 investment into our company for the new engine, add-ons, and website template graphics. What you will get in return is 100% of profits after fees, until $800 is paid to you. This is a 60% roi. The $800 will also be paid by February 6, 2010, or $100 will be added onto our debt to you each month thereafter.

If you invest $1000, for everything previously stated and for new 2d graphics, you will receive a 75% roi. We will guarantee to return your original $1000 invest by April 6, 2010 and the $1750 by July 6, 2010. If we do not meet our required deadlines, we will add $100 to our debt to you each month thereafter.

Please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or problems and please partake on our great business adventure.

You will get less traffic and players from using pre-templated websites, or engines. To be unique, you need to come up with something on your own, and not reply on pre-existing codes.

So basically taking a open source code and calling it your game is not only illegal, but also there is tens of thousands of the same thing out there.

Also if you use NEAB you need to display their copyright on your website, which in return will make it look unprofessional.

The premade template is only going to be used until we build up our member base, and then we will design and install a custom one. The neab engine doesn't require us to display their copyright for our purchased license. Also, to become more unique, I can purchase custom 2d graphics for our game to use if necessary. We also have many ideas to ipmrove the neab engine and make it more of our own, such as random events, an arcade, and top weekly prizes.

To answer rameriz's question, I have great feedback on these sites:
    airsoftforum.com/board/jjaneski9-m39172.html
    myworld.ebay.com/jjaneski94

I also bought a website from paradoxgamesllc.net/index.php?a=staff&profile=1. I bought it from Marshall Gaudet. You can send him an email or msn message and ask him about our transaction. Finally, all I have left is my word, if that means anything to you. Thanks for your interest.

Ok there is a huge flaw here. If you are going to use a pre-template to gain a large member base, and then spend months re-building the game, you will piss every member off. No one wants to see large changes when they are used to what they have.

If I remember correctly, I contacted NEAB 6 months ago, and they said they do not allow license removal for their system.

I use graphics in my game and spend $30 - $50 per graphic. So the graphics alone is going to cost you $5,000+ just on that.

You must change NEAB 75% before you can be license free or call it your own engine. That is standard on all web applications and codes.

Now you can be upset and say whatever I will still do it. I am just trying to help you before you fail. I have 23 years of gaming experience, and 5 years of web design/web gaming. So I do know what I am talking about.
