    Anyone like me?

I just joined this forum and I am like many of you here thinking of different business ideas. I am currently in the states but I travel to Europe often because my family lives there. I often notice something that one place has and that could be a business idea for another place. I don't look for businesses that take a lot of money to start up. However, if i knew there was a big chance to expand a business and make money I would find the funds somehow. So all in all I am just looking for people that are in different parts of the world and to discuss what we could work on together to initially make money on the side. I typically do not trust all those businesses in India just because it always sounds too good to be true and they always ask for something. There are a lot of simple ideas. I will give you one example here, a guy I know took a part from the U.S. that is used to make public water fountains and introduced it to a Swiss company and it ended up being that the part was much cheaper to import from the U.S. and he is the middle man now to selling a couple thousand parts a month. If you would be interested in talking more about different ideas...e-mail me or let me here if you think anything like me.

There is something to be said about cultural differences in adoption as well. There are some cultures that have amazing ideas that will never work in another culture because of how people are there. That's one of the biggest hurdle in trying to bring one success in one place to the next. Everything is a trial and error to see if the idea sticks unless you know the culture extremely well. But even so, that's not a guarantee, and the best you can do is try.

Have you guys ever thought of using China manufacuturing to build some low cost products and ship back to US market? Hi, I am Sky from Shanghai, and I've been thinking my own business for a while and I registered a trading company already and have phisical offices. I plan to work with my friends and do some export business of auto spare parts, as we have plenty of factory resources here in China. We are thinking of finding oveaseas partners for business cooperation, attend related industry exhibitions/shows, meet and talk with potential buyers, etc. We are also considering to act as a sourcing agency for overseas costomers in China, help source whatever products they want. Let me know if anyone is interested. Good day!

I got stuck on one idea lately which I am now testing. My service consists of creating and acting out real-life experiences as elite surprises from my clients to others. Think of "Punk'd" or "The Game" with Michael Douglas - this is where I got inspired from. Anyway I have read several books with ideas on creative ways to make wonderful moments for people you love, and am now able to put together a few fine scenarios for surprises to offer to clients. The ideas are actually limitless, because this is kind of service is creative-oriented instead of competitive.

The first question is whether people are going to pay for such a thing, and the first answer is yes - there is a company that offers this exact kind of service in Russia (remontner dot ru). But of course cultural differences are to be taken into consideration. I am open for any country in Western Europe, but am currently residing in Austria. This is only a question of testing the market to find the right culture open to this kind of services.

The first step I must take is to find a person with access to wealthy people, to which I would offer the chance to use my service for free in exchange of spreading the word about my unusual service. Of course, if that person will be thrilled with the results of my service, this will not be a task for him. By the way, word of mouth is the most effective marketing strategy for this line of service.

The second step is to find the money necessary for me to arrange the first surprise, which would be around €5.000 to €10.000. There will be a camera-man that would film the action, and this material will be then used in order to close further deals. There will also be a team of actors, first students, then professional, who would help act out the scenarios.

I believe in karma, and think that a wonderful life is created of wonderful moments, so this is something that I enjoy doing, which allows for a much higher probability for success.

I am now looking for an investor, who would be willing to invest €5000 to €10.000 in exchange of 10% of future profits. Please PM for further details or check out surprisia dot com.

Hey Arsenal23 - Firstly - I wont hold being a Gunners fan against you. I used to live in the UK in Kent, but now live in Australia, so could offer some genuine ties into the AsiaPac market. I like you come across ideas that I think would be interesting to try - One example I have for you = disposable Toilet seat covers - pretty big in the US, and a massive market in the UK and AUS for hotels, restaurants, schools etc. - That is kind of a personal example as I am a hypochondriact and hate public toilets, but you get what I mean.
Like you, I don't have heaps of cash to be throwing at things, but like good little ideas that can be simply marketed/distributed for somewhat of a passive income.
Don't know if I can PM, or if you can, so feel free to e-mail me. It;s just my first name then last name at hotmail,

    Cheers

    Hi questeds,

Just read your post about moving from the UK to Aus. I have just come back from a trip to Aus. While I was there I saw a great low cost product that I was thinking of trying to sell through Walmart etc in the UK. If I PM you do you think you might be able to track down the manufacturer? I hope they are Australian but expect they are middle eastern.

    Cheers

    InvenToy.
