Anyone got an extra $1500 and a heart?

Just got a notice from the LandLord. I guess 16 days late is long enough for the rent.

I thought that this forum would help get my business idea off the roof intime to save me... but aparently theres not really many people here. I've got some pretty good ideas, but it seems that everyone is in the same boat as me.

    My life stinks.

Just wondering...but don't you have a "day job"? I hope you're not relying a brand new internet biz to pay the bills.

I'm working on a new funding concept but unfortunately it won't be available in time to help you get out of your current financial woes.

It's not that people don't have a heart, they just don't have the money to risk on a new online venture.

I know this won't help but your landlord can't legally evict you until you hit about 30+ days. I wish I could help you, but please keep us posted.

Not to be rude, but stop playing stupid games. You're about to be evicted and your depending on a business idea to help you get funded to save you in time? What world are you from?

No way on earth that would happen. I suggest you try and get a job asap and ask for an advanced payment. Or you could even try to sell stuff to others through affiliate networks.. even though I'm not really a fan of those networks or anything mlm related.

Just do whatever it takes to pay your bills... sorry but business ideas don't. It usually takes months to turn them into fully fledged businesses.

Great input and tough love. A wise man will hear and increase in wisdom.

Rather than making statements like "my life stinks", and blaming others, change your internal communication to asking questions that will cause you to expand your motivation, ideas and action.

Questions like, "how can I pay my rent?" or "what can I do to make my rent money today?" or "how can I add value to others?". Just do it

There is a clear difference between affiliate networks (affiliate marketing) and network marketing (MLM). Please do not mix the two as if they're the same thing. You're better off suggesting him to sell his stuff on eBay rather than though either of the two.

before you even consider starting a business, get that attitude out of your mind....

how do you expect to successfully build a business without being able to handle adversity. I, like many other people have gone through tough times a couple years ago.. You need to persevere..and learn to persevere with your head up...

    Even if you do not pay your rent this month and your landlord decides to legally evict you, due to the economy more than likely you will be given the opportunity to repay the month's rent as long as you;
    1. pay the rent due on time
    2. have not had issues of failure to pay your rent in the past.
    3. are in compliance with your lease agreement

If you are in desperate measures (which considering you have the money to start a business I'm assuming you are not and just used your rent money for this purpose) I suggest going to your local Catholic Charities organization.

Should you end up in court for eviction, it would be a good idea to show a judge that you are employed and can make your monthly payments. If not, i cannot say for sure that he won't evict you.

It's kind of harsh of you to blame an entire forum which is here not to financially support you but to assist you with the ins and outs of starting your business. If you are going to play the blame game, I would quit the business you are trying to form as you are not ready on a maturity basis to be a business owner.

I am pulling myself out of an 18 year abusive relationship with two children to support as well as myself and little to no help financially from my ex. If I played the blame game instead of doing what was necessary to keep my family going, my children would be in a foster home, I would not only jobless but homeless and my life would suck, too.
I knew what had to be done and took on 3 jobs to support myself and my children.

It's a little hard for me to feel sorry for you if you are "just waiting around". Suck it up and get off the pot.

    Good luck

I agree...you've already lost. I would not have any confidence that if I gave you $1500 you would pay it back.

I encourage you to stay focused and figure out how you can make your idea come to fruition...As far as eviction, it will take some time for the entire process to complete. In other words you won't likely be on the street come next month-so go chase financial security and Good Luck

I'm willing to bet a lot of people on this forum have been there. (I have) Wish you the best of luck figuring things out. Keep the wheels turning, and don't give up- you'll make it.

I seriously want to thank each and every poster who replied to this. I didn't mean to say I blamed the forum. I have only myself to blame. Closing my eyes to reality. Masking reality with the hope of getting a business idea going.

I've got the rent thing sorted out, but the legal letter a few days after I posted was enough to get me to come clean with reality and face the truth.

I want to end this post with the last 6 words of Ballermode.

Thanks again guys and gals. Thanks Lisa
