Where can I find 5,000 equity financing for business?

Hey all,

I had a question and someone told me to come here for advice or to find someone who can help with the investment.

I have started a business. For the last year I was boostrapping everything utilizing my own funds from my current job position. I have close to 15,000 invested in my business and was going to secure the final 5,000.

I was hoping to see if there is a way I can find someone to take a shot on me for 5,000 in investment.

I will post more information in the next post.
Please contact me if you are interested in helping me find the final tally.

Shawn

This project is an animated direct to DVD series

We are creating strong commercial property in the form of animated webseries later compiled each season to create a direct to DVD product.

This is the outlet we are going to use to make funds.

1) Free online viewing but allow advertisement on the sight and a commercial in video.
2) High quality pay per view Ipod playback with no commercials
3) Print on Demand paraphenilia
4) After each season we combine the episodes and put out a dvd. We discontinue the season online and put up the second season.
5) Distribution rights are sold

So if you want to help think of this as an investment.

Key areas where we will promote

1) Comic book conventions including Comicon 2010
2) Anime and sci fi conventions
3) Promotion through other online series and popular sights

loan is out of the question. I already have one before I lost my job. I want to start the business now that I am not working due to corporate layoffs. I want to concentrate on my business so looking for a very small investor

If that is the case then I would suggest looking for a partner to go into business with. That seems a little more logical when asking for that sum of money. Typically even angel investors only start seriously looking at ventures requesting 4-5 times that amount.

And there is a reason why most angel investors usually only invest 4-5x that amount.

Good luck in finding one nonetheless
