I'm looking for partners to start up a Virtual Reality arcade chain of businesses- They would initially be located in a high traffic malls and would feature the Virtusphere, a hollow sphere that the user can enter and run, walk, crawl, jump and dive in any direction. It can be hooked up to a variety of systems, including any PC, and uses wireless head mounted display and gun controller, perfect for the shooting, action and sports games. This product is new to the market and is currently used by the military, and not for entertainment purposes.( see virtusphere.com)

The business would also offer the trimersion, a head mounted display with motion tracker and gun controller, just no sphere, instead the user sits in a swivel chair. check out the product at trimersion.com

Multiplayer tournaments will also be hosted each week with cash and prizes.

I have a business plan completed (may need some modifications). I have financial estimates and forecasts, I used this plan for my entrepreneurship class and another version of it for my research class, the professor thought it could be profitable and he has a PhD and wrote my finance 331/332 text book.....

As a idea of the profitability, charging 6$ for 5 minutes on the Virtusphere( with two units available) and $4 for 5 min with the trimersion, and with all the devices occupied for only 1.5 hour/day monday to thrursday, from sept.-end of may, and 2.5 hours/day June-end of August, the after tax profits would be over $200,000---I will give you the actual financial statements I have if you show interest.

This is a very low projection, especially when located at a high traffic mall. Rent is included at roughly 130,000, however this is based on profit sharing with the mall owner, a strategy which was recommended by someone in the business.

I am looking for people who are interested in forming a startup team with me now. Here is my idea of how we do it:

I need at least 5 highly dedicated partners,

Each of us would obtain a minimum of $15,000 in private investment from friends relatives and personal savings.( I don't expect this to happen all at one, but over a period of roughly 3 months we can motivate each other with tips and suggestions) Also youth business development centers may help as we are all young.

We would then start up one location, (which mall of which city is to be determined ). With the retained earnings from this first location we would begin a process of starting locations in each of the partners' home cities or their city of choice....We will also obtain loans to speed up the process, I think this would work if the business was profitable....If not we wont be doing it anyways by that point.... plus we will have the equity in the form of the assets and the business cash flows as a measure of value.

As a note people say arcades are dead....they are because they don't have what it takes to really motivate the user to play----immersiveness, however both the virtusphere and the trimersion have the highest levels possible. Also the appearance of the Virtusphere will draw a lot of attention as it it a 10 foot see-through sphere(there will be two side by side with a large plasma screen between them)

Marketing is relatively inexpensive as the mall will attract a significant portion of the same primary target market--males between 12 and 35. A grand opening multiplayer tournament and semiannual tournament with large cash prize will take care of a lot of the word of mouth and buzz.
