Without very much funding, as a 16 year old high school student with no job and huge aspirition, I bit the bullet and started a hip-hop/r&b/occasional other urban genre such as jazz music news website. It features news which I obtain by regularly rounding out a long list of urban music news websites (that tend to have different content from eachother) and searching Google News and some blog aggregator sites, once in a blue moon opinion articles about urban music news occurences or other issues prevalent in the urban community such as the presidential election and the confederate battle flag, and forums.

Despite new content nearly every day and a site I know is the best I've ever done I still have few registered users, no comments and no forum posts by anyone other than me. I also have the issue of being unable to "keep up" too well due to a huge classload and me being very sick recently. With me not being able to constantly babysit the site and noone else coming due to what seems to be a total advertising failure (some clicks but no return visits) I need some help.

Other issues have risen. My name has already been copied. Sure, the site's name has common law trade mark protection but I have no means to sue and no means to pay for registration. I want to fix that sooner rather than later. Right now, the lack of activity can't even pay for my web hosting.

So I'm on the skids, losing $1 or so a month and I can't even keep that up because my parents are having financial problems and technically they owe me.

Ultimately, I want anyone interested in contributing and becoming a parter to contact me. In fact, anyone willing to contribute to the site along the lines of content would help... and would possibly help my advertising revenue grow which means even more. I'd also be willing to sell bulk advertising at huge, HUGE discounts compared to other companies. It may take time for enough people to come to the site to deliver the ads, but hey, the money may be used to help promote the site anyway which couldn't hurt. Anyone who wants to check the site out, wants a business plan or just wants to talk can contact me via pm or otherwise.

I'm kind of curious what do you planning on doing in any case? How can a school help me in particular right now?

There is a project going on called Greeline Music, I'm not sure about any of the specifics, right now everyone working on it is away on spring break, but I have sent them a link to this thread.
