Trouble is, copyright laws are tight. In fact, the government is trying to push through a bill to outlaw the use of specific Olympics-associated words.

You could try to create a website inspired by http://www.travelsupermarket.com. It could compare all travel and accomodation prices for around the 2012 period. You would make the money from the comission.

Think Nado has summed it up. Selling merchandise would be the simpliest way to make money at this stage, although the other idea about travel options and accomodation would be interesting, however, you will only be able to do that nearer the time...

I personally think it would be best if you write to them, but whatever you do, tell them that you are really passionate about the Olympics coming to London and that you want to be able to help in anyway possible, and I am sure someone will be able to provide some ideas for you. Oh, and also ask them if you can use the logo on your website - you don't want to be sued for copyright infringement now do you!
