First of It's kind Subscription-based athletic training site

My name is Adam Linkenauger, the owner of VertFreak101.com and Freak Athletics llc.

VertFreak101 is the number one ranked Vertical Jump training ebook is the world (verticaljumping.com) as well as a clothing line for street basketball and athletic training. We also own a team of the best dunkers in the world who perform at halftime shows, events, pep rallies, etc for entertainment purposes (as well as promoting the ebook)

I would now like to take my program to the next step, offering a Freak Athletics Online Training school, inwhich my well known dunkers, and post D-1 athletes will coach kids online through video conferences, forums, and IMing at a subscription fee. I will also coach kids, as well as give twice a week classroom webinars (i can explain if needed) I was a 7x ACC High Jump Champion, and won the Powerade dunker of the year contest and have a commercial with them now :P haha

We currently have sold well over 1000 ebooks, and have a list in the 4000-5000 user range. I also have a great group of affiliates including JumpUSA.com, willing to help out with this deal.

I also have contacts in strength and conditioning, speed training, track and field, basketball, nutrition, and athletic training/first aid who are all willing and ready to begin working. After the vertical training site is up and running,w e start bringing in more sites of the above topics, inwhich we then build a portal for athletes to pay to be able to access as many of these sites as they wish, given the subscription price will increase with more sites added.

The final step is to create a recruiting database. I have had some larger websites get interested in my gameplan here, but all the interest has lead me to believe that this is something that I feel I could do on my own with some financial support to create the website/s and have a designer help merge, and then the only other cost is marketing... Pretty Cheap, but should boost a great roi, let me know of any interest/ thoughts! Thank you!

Edit: Wanted to add really quick the company is a year old, and we are already well in the GREEN making a sound income on an initial 3000 dollar investment! I would be interested in a webdesign/partner as well to help run and design the website! The websites innovative look and design, as well as advancements in IMing and video chat capabilities will be key, as well as the ability to run the portal with the subscription site! I can def. explain all with more detail!

I just checked my email and found out Team VertFreak is doing a halftime show at Clemson University in January as well! Woohoo! Hope someone is willing to talk further, you wont be disappointed!

Well the first problem I see is that many athlete's wouldn't find themselves in front of a computer in order to learn new tactics or moves. It is kind of contradictory to an athletes mindset of practice makes perfect. An athlete should be out practicing his crossover dribbles, behind the back moves and high jump on the court not in front of a computer. If you are simply trying to guide athletes to learn new moves if it isn't hands on it would be tough for them to succeed. It seems like you have a good network of athletes, maybe you can set up training camps instead? But I would like to hear more about what you are trying to do and if you can clarify your target market.

Absolutely, and the internet base of athletes looking for training technique is INCREDIBLE! With training online, the coach would be giving workouts for the athlete to do, and complete for that week, and through out the week check in with the athlete to encourage/coach the athlete through the training. Think of this as more "hands on" than it first appears, as the coach will be giving actual workouts for the athlete to complete. It's not going to be just an information site where the athlete picks apart what he chooses... I have fugu.com interested in the creation of the site, and they created the gracieacademy.com I would like my site to follow this type of structure, but with the coaches being more "hands on" so to speak! If you were an athlete in high school, ask yourself, did I have a knowledgeable coach pushing me with proper workouts to get me into college on a scholarship? Most athletes will say No, I feel that I can offer them the best training available to get them to pursue their goals, but at the end of the day, THEY must do the workouts!

As for camps camps, we have held basketball and training camps in Virginia and South Carolina, pretty cool set up.

Our VertFreak Dunk Team teaches the Camps on Saturday and Sunday morning, we then offer an open run basketball tourney, and the winner of the tourney plays Team VertFreak Sunday night in a general admission game inwhich if they beat us they win 500 dollars! By getting there they win a free copy of my book!

We also are starting a VertFreak Vertical training class at the Flash Factory in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I have personally coached around 50 kids online through IM and email services at the cost of 150 a month, or 350 for three months, so I def feel this is something that has a market online!

Thank you so much for the quick reply!

Hi Adam, seems quite uncanny that yours is the first post which has ever enticed me so to register here at the forum, but I've always been on the lookout for new ideas coupled with a bright mind behind the operations, and gosh you seem to have covered an awful lot!

Not knowing much about the fitness industry and the competition you will/have faced as a whole led me to quickly look at your current setup - I can say it's quite pleasing. So before we get anywhere, could you kindly disclose some more info regarding current competitors in the market, as I don't see anything but this holding you back from great growth. There are so many smaller niches with a similar setup to what you prescribe on the net, and many are very successful. Therefore right now the rival competition is my only main query.

Look forward to hearing from you soon, and I may be in touch via your site. By the way did you pay for that to be set up? Looks very professional.

Lastly, you don't have any problems with a UK investor do you? In my time I was quite a transatlantic venturer but now getting lazy as I approach older age

Sincerely, Jonathon

Also, do you know former D-1 players, in your post you said you did. I am sure if they have been all stars or are liked by the community you can get a lot of youngsters to sing up. Hey if Derek Fisher or Andrew Bynum had an online coaching session, I would join!

I sure do! I know multiple former ACC basketball players, as well as a few NBDL guys who have all showed interest in helping, 6-7 NFL guys, and soon to be NFL guys (still in college). I also know many professional track and field athletes, including a few Olympians who have showed interest. So the athletes to help will not be that difficult to come by. Ofcourse they wont be Lakers caiber though haha

As for the rival competition, there are MANY ebooks on the market that compete with us, but these books clearly lack knowledge in the field (majority) and are quickly done, where mine is 500 pages of literature and has over 180 videos incorporated. It's easy to tell who put the most effort in creating their ebook.

As for where I am taking this, there are no online subscription sites for vertical jumping, and not many I know of for any of the other categories I mentioned. I have no doubt though this is the direction of athletic training, and I have the opportunity to build the standard, and basis of the online training market, then we grow from there!

I already have a steady clickbank account set up through the ebook with over 200 affiliates selling my book, who are all excited and ready to push the training site! Id estimate we will have 200+ people signed up on the site minimum the first day, by just looking at a 1% conversion rate... at 50 dollars a month... Meaning 10k profit a month out of box on a very very LOW conversion rate! We then split test, get the converion rate up and grow grow grow! HaHa!

As for a UK investor, I am ok with it as long as you are, I honestly would prefer someone in the states that I could meet with and allow them to have some more hands on ability with their investment if they so choose, but if you are ok with allowing me to handle everything with your investment then I am sure we can work something out!
