Startup Lab Looking for New Partners

So myself and my two partners have a company set up called Startup Lab.

Here's a bit about our business: The core business of Startup Lab is dedicated to finding GREAT ideas and turning them into profitable online businesses. Our team of 'idea consultants' brainstorm to identify new ideas consistent with our strategic vision. We work to partner up with talented entrepreneurs who are experts in their respective field and strive to support their growth and subsequently define a profitable exit strategy for each individual website. It's a challenging world for an entrepreneur to navigate and our goal at Startup Lab is to make it a whole lot easier. Take a look at our portfolio of companies to find out more.

Most of our sites our undeveloped as of yet (MBA365 is underway), but we are looking for some talented people to team up with on some of our ideas.

If you are interested in partnering up with us, please send us an email at info@startuplab.net

    Thanks,
    Chris Stuart
    President, Startup Lab

    Hey Chris,

So i looked through your site and what you have seems interesting. I don't really know how to categorize your endeavor.

The biggest question I have is, when you have a good idea and are looking for an expert to partner with, what do they have to bring to the table other than their brain? Financially, is there a 50/50 split? Is it a 50/50 partnership?

While the idea or concept was yours, you need their brains to complete it. But how much involvement do you actually have in its development?

    My Input:
The problem I see right now; too many directions. Unless there is a few million invested behind this and a few people dedicated to an individual product, too much is being taken on.

Perhaps cutting down on the amount of "ideas" you have floating around would be best. Choose five ideas that you and your partners would like to focus on.

I can say that as an entrepreneur, investor, and an engineering specialist in IT (specifically voip) I would not be interested in becoming apart of one of your ideas. There are simply too many slices of bread and not enough butter.

I will patiently await your response.

    Enjoy Life,
    Nick

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me."

Interesting concept. Think you're idea has potential, but are going about it the wrong way. You're focusing on ideas that really aren't new, and are in tough and crowded markets. Focusing on new innovative ideas and narrower targetted markets, I think you'll find much more interest in your projects and much more success.

    Good luck.

Nick, i sent you a response to your email, so look forward to hearing from you.

Singaboy, our terms will definitely vary on a case by case basis, dependent upon someone's involvement with a particular venture. We are a bit new to the scene, so i'm sure that we'll have to negotiate these items as we go along. Shoot me a pm or an email at info@startuplab.net if you want to discuss further.

Jplata, I think you bring up a good point. There are probably too many ideas listed on the site. I think they are all things that we wanted to potentially expand upon but likely not all will be developed. We just wanted to appeal to a broad range of areas at first to see what sort of talented partners we may attract. Ideally, as Nick mentioned previously, we'd like to narrow it down to a few select ideas in which we think there are some niche opportunities, not a lot of competition and the potential to make some real long term profits. If you feel like you want to get involved please do get in contact with me to discuss!
