Seeking funds for lending business

I evaluate credit professionally as part of my job, and I like to think that I'm fairly good at it ($150 million worth of originated leases to my name).

I have become intriugued by the possibility of lending money through Prosper.com.

www.prosper.com

I think that with the proper due dilligence, I can realize significantly above-market returns.

I'm not really looking for any particular amount of money, it could be anywhere from a fairly small amount ($1000) to considerably more.

In addition, in regards to repayment, we could either work in terms of fixed-rate monthly payments, a lump-sum payment at the end of 3 years, or a % ownership in the business.

There's room for as many investors as want to be involved, as well. Everyone can work out whatever terms work best for them.

To give an idea, I think that I could probably provide investors with a rock-solid 8-9% APR on funds over a 3 year period, personally guaranteed by me (i.e. NO loss of principal, I will make up shortfalls, if any, out of my own personal capital).

PM or reply if interested.

So you're looking for people to pool money with you and offer it, based on your analysis, to $$$-seekers on Prosper? :::cuz I'm not quite understanding the purpose of your post:::

I am looking for people who would be interested in an investment that earns 8-9% interest with zero risk to principal (which I think is unique, but I could be wrong).

I would provide this investment vehicle by taking funds and investing them in Prosper borrowers as I feel that my professional credit analysis background gives me a very good chance of consistently beating out my 8-9% cost of funds. I would worry about default risk, how the loans are doing, the due dilligence, et cetera. The investors wouldn't, they'd just sit back and collect their checks. If a loan defaults, I cover it out-of-pocket, not the investor's problem.

So you would just be a 2nd middleman (who has experience) between borrowers and investors?

Basically, yes.

This isn't terribly uncommon, most businesses that are primarily in the business of lending also borrow their funds from other sources at lower rates.

Banks, for instance, pay a certain interest rate on savings deposits to be able to then re-lend out as mortgage loans, etc...

The company I work for, for instance, borrows hundreds of millions of dollars from revolving credit facilities to then purchase property to then lease back out. This is somewhat more indirect than the above example, but still fundamentally the same idea, as the leasee credit is evaluated much the same as if they were physically borrowing the money.

I know of some one who is out do do something along these lines but not at prosper.com. She requires a pool funding of 25mill$ for her project.
.
If you know any investors who wish to invest in such a venture, I could introduce you both. Both would benefit from each other and her clientele are pretty influential people and she already has a client base. All she requires is funding.
However, she is from NZ.
Let me know.

That's kind of like a mutual fund for prosper loans.

Could you please elaborate on your job?
