Seeking Angel investor/s for Luxury Lingerie Line

I have a brand that has made leaps and bounds with minimal financing. I am looking for an investor to help us take things to the next level. This is a very sexy line and an even sexier opportunity to invest in something solid but fun. Check out our website at:

http://www.vaginpouvoir.com

Serious inquiries only. Investors with knowledge/contacts in the apparel/lingerie industry would be a bonus.

We are also seeking to build a board of advisors. So anyone with finance and/or apparel industry knowledge please let me know if you are interested.

Location: NYC
Looks promising, good luck to you.

We have worked with many apparel designers in New York. Definetily a tough business, not only to start, but to find financing as well. Let me give you some links that may help you (you might have already seen them before):

Active Capital www.activecapital.org is a SBA initiative to connect entrepreneurs with investors. Angel Investors’ groups, Individual Accredited Investors, Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) and intermediaries can work directly with Entrepreneurs using the “Active Capital” website.

Angel Capital Association www.angelcapitalassociation.org works with Angel Investors groups to promote best practices and networking amongst these organizations. In here you can find a directory of Angel Investors’ organizations in your area.

American Entrepreneurs for Economic Growth (AEEG) www.aeeg.org is an organization serving entrepreneurs interests regarding public policy. The AEEG is affiliated with the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) www.nvca.org that represents the Venture Capital industry. This alliance allows AEEG to provide networking opportunities.

Besides the direct approach, you can also try going to associations or read trade publications. You may be able to network your way to an angel investor.

the Council of Fashion Designers of America www.cfda.com
Garment Industry Development Corporation www.gidc.org
Womens Wear Daily www.wwd.com
FASHION GROUP INTERNATIONAL www.fgi.org
www.thealexanderreport.com a B2B guide for the apparel industry

You can also try resources that may help you with the networking aspect as well as providing you with educational seminars in the industry and possible contacts (you may know of this one)
Enterprise Center of the Fashion Institute of Technology. http://www3.fitnyc.edu/enterprisecenter/

(BTW, I am assuming that you are in NY because of the phone numbers listed in your website contact info)

Although, our current focus is on publishing and marketing our website (we are not looking to invest on companies, nor take on new clients at the moment) Feel free to ask us any questions, we might be able to point you in the right direction if you have a business in NY
